I'm going to play devil's advocate here. Since our top 5 guys are all announcing on NSD, let's play the scenario that none of them Roll with the Tide.

1. JJ
2. Jerrell Harris
3. Alonzo Lawrence
4. Robert Quinn
5. Marcel Dareus

Hypothetically if it turns out on NSD that these guys choose other schools who do you think we will have left?

If the worst happens as you said then the best case scenario would be...

T.J. Bryant
Mark Ingram
Aundre Dean
Glenn Harbin
William Green
Omoregie Uzzi

To be honest,I feel very good about JJ,and MD.less so about AL,and RQ. The least about JH.I really feel we will get 3 of those so I'll pick only 3 more and it will come from these 5.
Byrant,Green,Harbin,Uzzi,and Ingram. Also,there may be a signing day surprise!

From Rivals reporting on the visit this weekend, it sounds as if we are in good with Ingram and Harbin from your list. CS, you have far better knowledge of these matters, but should these guys decide to pull the trigger first, are we going to hold a spot for any of the guys in the OP? I can't imagine us telling any of the guys on this list, "we're going to have to see if we have room." Your thoughts?

I'm not CS,but I did stay in an Holiday Express last night.
I would bet we hold a place for JJ,JH,and AL regardless, and MD is pretty much slated for Prep School anyway so him too!

I don't know what the staff has been told by the top prospects, what they think about their chances of landing the top prospects, so saying who has a firm offer, who has a slot being held, or what might happen is not something I could say with any amount of certainty. I have heard that Robert Quinn was told Bama will hold a scholly for him and I am pretty sure at least Julio Jones and Jerrell Harris have schollies waiting.

Now maybe conditions were or will be placed on any schollies being held. Like at a certain drop dead point the prospects may be contacted and be told yea or ney? Now whether or not it is made public I am sure the staff will know exactly where they stand or move on to another prospect. Or at least think they know because anything can and usually does happen in recruiting. It should be fun to watch from here to NSD. I like the possibilities unfolding. It is starting to look Bama is trying to get 25 lbs of apples into a 20 lb bag. ;)

I would put JJ back on your list.
I should have been more clear. I don't think that will happen.

I was replying to the question of who are our #2 choices if the worst case scenario of none of the prospects below sign with or as he said Roll with the Tide. lol ;)

1. JJ
2. Jerrell Harris
3. Alonzo Lawrence
4. Robert Quinn
5. Marcel Dareus

I certainly don't think the worst case scenario above or my best case scenario if the worst case scenario happens is really what is going to happen on NSD. :D

I think for the most part if they want to commit right now they can. I know we would take Ingram's and probably other's commitments.
