I just noticed RB Bryon Marshall from San Jose with a BAMA offer (btw Rivals does not list him with a Bama offer) on the prospect list.

he plays for Valley Christian. its the same school my niece attends. they are a recent powerhouse in the area over taking some other private Catholic schools that have dominated the South Bay in the past decade.

I will try and catch a game or two and report back on his senior campaign. I wonder if this is the 1st time Alabama has offered a San Jose kid??

That happens all the time. In the prospect list I say that any prospect with a reported offer is listed with an offer. There are a whole bunch of different type of offers, verbal, written, committable, noncommittable, and conditional. Sometimes a prospect will say in an interview that he has an Alabama offer and his profile will not reflect an Alabama offer. I list them with an offer. I don't distinguish what type of offer he has.

It is very common for one recruiting site profile to list a prospect with an offer and other recruiting sites never list that offer. I have even found out that a prospect has a Bama offer by reading a recruiting article in a local newspaper before any of the top recruiting sites list a Bama offer in his profile.

I seem to recall a ATH/WR/CB type from San Jose some years ago that had a Bama offer. I can't remember the details though.

Keep us advised if you read anything in the local newspapers or hear anything on the local news about Byron Marshall and Bama.

It is believed that Rushel Shell is Bama's top RB prospect at this time. He has a strong interest in Bama. Coach Sal Sunseri is the Bama coach recruiting him.
