Who is Saban's replacement?

I have felt anxious MANY times leading up to games since I was 6 years old. Admittedly, that 92 Championship game anxiousness was caused by my dad and grandad. And their collective talk about the game against Miami.
That very game is when I became more than a "by default" fan. I witnessed that game at 6 and was hooked!
I heard about the legacy of Bryant! I heard that no team could beat Miami! Up until watching that game with my dad and grandad, I didn't understand.
After that game, I understood. Then, at a young age I was having to witness sanctions, probation, coaching carousels and pure darkness!!
Then, Saban came to Tuscaloosa when it wasn't expected at all. Revived this program and took us to the mountain top! And we consistently stayed there!
I said all that to say this. I am as anxious as anybody. But, I just know that Saban would not come revive and rebuild this program to what it has become to just watch it crumble to the ground!
He built an empire and would NEVER leave us hanging by a thread. There has to be a plan. No way he just decides he's done without one. This is his Empire. No good leader wants to watch the empire they built fall!

He’s the only coach on the list that has won a NC.

Let's add Chizik, Fulmer, Spurrier, Stoops, Jimbo, and Larry Coker to the list.
Dennis Erickson, too.

He knows what he would be getting into—and that is big.

Ray Perkins and Mike Dubious and Mike Shula all should have known, too, and the results spoke for themselves.

There have been coaches come to Bama in the past that just didn’t get the culture. Say what you want about Franchione, but he was a decent coach at Alabama.

Go look a little closer at that record.
He never beat a team that was RANKED AT THE END OF THE SEASON in his two years here.

He got a lot of pop for two relatively narrow losses to Oklahoma and UGA and a lot of credit for wins over Auburn (2001) and Ole Miss, Tennessee, and LSU (2002), but none of those teams were really as good as their "gameday with Alabama" ranking, either. I know "you know who" was coaching LSU, but not only were they 8-5 but that was the year of the Bluegrass Miracle, or they'd have been 7-6. Yeah, fRan blew out a Saban team - one that wasn't any good.

He was 17-8, but he was just five plays from being 12-13.

But I remember one reporter stating that he just didn’t get the 365 day a year football culture.

On the other hand, he DID get money for sharing injury information on his players in a newsletter.

I kept my distance from fRan.
Then I embraced him.
Then he stabbed me in my heart while my back was turned and let go of the rope that had me hanging.
