Who is your preferred opponent in SEC championship

I want to see Keelon Russell play some Saturday. I Believe he is gonna be the real deal.
Keelon needs to be seeing 10-20 snaps this Saturday, at the least. Ty Simpson needs to be DONE by snap 20. Seriously. There can be plenty of 5-6 minute drives if we insist, but this better not be some 13 point first half affair for the Alabama offense. If it is, I'm not going to do anything other than sit here and grumble to myself like always :D

At least now he can wear something else and superstitious ninnies won’t complain that it caused a loss to not wear it.

As for all of these tiebreaker scenarios, just do away with the game entirely. All of the conferences need to end them.
it will be interesting to see if they do away with that game. i imagine it's a huge money maker, but is it worth it in the current environment?

Well, yesterday cleared up the SECCG picture quite a bit compared to where it was last week.

Many of the crazy scenarios we talked about during the week were contingent on UK upsetting Vandy. That’s where many started. Since that did not happen most scenarios were eliminated.

Bama and TAMU now control their destinies. If either one wins next week, they are in. It’s that simple.

If Bama loses we are 100% out.

If TAMU loses, there is one scenario that still sends them to ATL. They would need for both Bama and Ole Miss to lose. If that happens it would be UGA vs TAMU.

UGA only has 2 chances to get in now. They need Bama or TAMU to lose. Doesn’t matter who, they go if one of them loses. The only difference is who they’d play.
  • Bama wins, TAMU loses: Bama vs UGA in SECCG
  • TAMU wins, Bama loses: TAMU vs UGA in SECCG
Ole Miss only has once shot. They need both Bama and TAMU to lose and they have to beat Miss St. If all that happens then it is UGA vs Ole Miss in the SECCG.

That is it, that is all the scenarios left.

Well, all I know is we need to beat Auburn next Saturday or the whole season is down the tubes. I think our guys can do it, but they need to show up and take care of business. As it turns out, this one game is for everything - SEC Championship and the Playoffs. Get the win BAMA!!!

I’m still not really sure who the best SEC team is right now.

I think those are the Best Four SEC teams though and who would beat who really comes down to matchups.

Ole Miss can’t beat UGA
UGA can’t beat Bama

UGA and Texas A&M is probably a coin flip though UGA has won the last 3

Bama and Texas A&M is probably a coin flip this year but we have beat them 10 out of the last 11 I believe so they might also have a Bama problem.

I don’t think Ole Miss would beat any of the other 3 because of Golding and the Current distraction with Lane.

I thought they need help from Miss State to beat Ole Miss as well?

on TAMU- beat Texas OR Auburn beats Alabama, Mississippi State beats Ole Miss.

Looking at al.com story posted last night:

In the scenario where Texas A&M beats Texas and grabs the top spot, the second spot is essentially left up to Alabama, Ole Miss and Georgia.
The result in the Egg Bowl doesn’t matter, though, for the Crimson Tide. If Ole Miss wins, Alabama will still have the advantage over the Rebels and Georgia based on the tiebreaker of conference opponent win percentage. But if Ole Miss loses to Mississippi State, Alabama would still get the second spot because Ole Miss would have two conference losses, knocking it out of conference title contention. As a result, the second spot would come down to Alabama and Georgia, and the Crimson Tide has the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Bulldogs; Alabama beat Georgia in September.
So basically just win and we could face TAMU likely...

Nope, Egg Bowl doesn’t matter for UGA since they best Ole Miss. UGA owns the head to head, which is what the tiebreaker will be if Bama loses and Ole Miss wins.

Yep, I mentioned that.

The AL.com article wording is wrong.

It says: ”In the scenario where Texas A&M beats Texas and grabs the top spot, the second spot is essentially left up to Alabama, Ole Miss and Georgia.”

That is wrong. If TAMU beats Texas then Ole Miss is 100% out no matter what else happens. Ole Miss’s only chance is if both Bama and TAMU lose. The only possible CG matchup that includes Ole Miss is against UGA. So any scenario that gets TAMU or Bama in eliminates Ole Miss.
