I think right now the confidence needs to get back which can start on Saturday but really a road win would do wonders. The players did nto look like they thought they could win against Kentucky. I think their mental state needs improvment and the other things will follow. When you lose that many games that quick you temns to stop believing....I would like to see MEade contribute some points, he looks hesitant to shoot. We'll see how good coach CMG is at this stage in his career by the adjustments he makes and if he has the players believing again.

Trucrimson, if you believe we will win those games playing the way we have played the last two weeks then you are crazy. If we improve and get our act together we can win those, but not playing the same way. Hopefully, tomorrow will begin a resurrection of the season. Roll Tide.

Teamplayer.....didn't flame you personally, just as part of the negative behavior on here lately. I love Bama Basketball, probably more than football (sorry Coach Bryant, please don't be offended)....

I also know that Basketball more than any other sport is about two things. Momentum and Defense. With our D we won't be out of any game during the season.....even the games we lost, with 5 minutes to go, we always have had some shot at making it happen, the shots just haven't fallen.

I do have faith Mark turns this around. Some of it is "homerism", some of it is basketball knowledge....we don't whoop Oklahoma like we did, and not have skills. We will turn it around....I think we will see Mo have a FREAKING HUGE GAME on Saturday, and then watch out!!

I plead guilty..eternal optimist. But I do believe we will have a good game against LSU.

I certainly agree on the importance of defense. But, that assumes that a team has, at least, a mediocre offense. At this point, we haven't reached mediocre.

It is far too late in the season to change basic offensive schemes. Can tinker some...mostly with personnel. A true motion offense (not that I'm a fan of it) takes a full year to install. And, there are about 20 others.

We have another problem. On the whole, as a coach, would want something out of your total freshman class. Two sides: One, experience, that you give them by playing. Two, you recruited players that make a difference, not long run, minutes, but somebody who can step up. Just a question: Out of the three, who does that? We spent three schollys. What did we get?

Look at the other leagues, folks who have won NC's. Have freshman who can play? Do we have any?

I expect us to get in. We don't have to be better than 8-8 in SEC play, IMO. Our RPI rating is quite good, and non conference wins over ranked opponents Oklahoma and Xavier look good as well. That being said, winning the west is still well within our grasp, and 10-6 in the SEC is not an unrealistic expectation at this point. We sure need tp take care of business against Arkansas up there to get us started though.

PJ I agree. Our RPI is going to be high, & plus right Bama has beaten 3 out of 4 ranked opponents it has faced this year. Remember UGA 2 years ago, when they stubbed us out of the Tourney..b/c of the RPI or strength of schedule & CMG learned from that. Unless Dudley, Mo & Walker get hurt & Bama looses the rest of the games...they're in.
