playing the way we are currently playing? Honestly? We don't have many games left that we can win unless we improved dramatically. Right now there is no direction on the team. There is too much standing around and they look flat because they don't seem to know what to do. I hope I'm wrong, but this reminds me of #3 to 3-8 in football except we will go from #1 to not even making the tournament. I keep pulling for the Tide, but we are are awful right now. The team said they were going to keep working hard, so there is a chance to turn things around, but they had better use this off week to figure things out. Roll Tide.

No me. They're done. Unless Coach Gottfreid can do some damage control. Kentucky was much more physical and beat the living crap out of us. We're lucky they didn't blow us out in the 1st half!

I hope you are wrong, Vinny, but I'm afraid you are correct. I don't think they could play much worse if the coach just rolled the ball out and said go play. There must be some problem we don't know about because I know Dudley, Williams, Walker, Meade, and the others can play in this league. However, they look horrible at the current time.

Bama will get things together, & not only get voted in the NCAA Tourney...They will win the SEC Tourney anyway. So either way we're going!RTR!

It's late in the year to be working out the kinks, we should be in the process of fine tuning. We still have a chance of making the team, here's hoping we can find ourselves and peak at the right time.

Playing the way we're playing, their is no way we make the tourney. But, I look for improvement from here on out, and think this thing gets turned around.IMO.

We probably need 7 or 8 more wins to get into the NCAA tourney, assuming we don't win the SEC tourney. Where do you think those wins will come playing the way we are now? I hate to say it, but without MAJOR improvement I can't see us winning more than 2 or 3 of our remaining games. I realize this sounds negative, but this team looks very bad right now. I hope I am wrong and they get things straightened out, but the wheels are off the cart right now.

It is easy to say "they will be there." Where do you see the 7 or 8 wins coming from. We are currently 2-4 in the conference and will probably need to be at least 9-7 when conference play ends, which means me need to go 7-3 the rest of the way. Where do those wins come from? I hope this week of practice turns things around and they get win number 1 against LSU.

Wow....maybe we should just give up Basketball as a sport??? You guys are pitiful. We were nothing only 5 years ago when that annoying Hobbs was coaching....

Now, we have NBA Prospects gracing our roster again......we have beaten OKLA, Xavier, MSU, and many other schools.... We got robbed at Vandy, and that killed our Momentum.....

We crush LSU....find our O, upset Florida, and then all of a sudden you "naysayers" will be back and posting..." I Knew We'd Be Awesome" ....

Mark isn't stupid, they players aren't bad, and right now we are just a 3 from getting back on track.....have faith, I've seen the future, and it shows a ticket to March Madness....

And as far as there being problems on this team...I've not been in a single huddle, or meeting, or practice, but looking at it from a fan's perspective, I'm not seeing infighting or frustration with anyone but the Ref's...

I think Kennedy coming in and shooting 18 times, caused some problems.....in his first game......Mark figured out his mistake. He's a good man, good coach and a good leader. I think he will get them righted by Saturday

I don't believe there are not any internal problems with this team, just these guys need a win, they need the ball to start bouncing their way, they need to get that call, they need some kind of confidence maker. Right now these guys are feeling that nothing is going their way, they have let the fans down, the School down, the coaches down, & each other down in their minds, & once they get that confidence back & the shots start to go down, & these guys start to have fun again, then you are going to see a different team.RTR!!

To the original question, I do believe we will make the NCAA's. But, it's no lock. Was looking at some projected brackets today...we are a 4/5 seed. And, that depends on some expected wins.

As for KW...I will eat some crow, being the basketaball recruiting junkie. Coming out of HS, KW was rated somewhere between 25 and 60. I chose the 25. KW is nowhere near that. He can't shoot from the outside; and he is absoultely stuffed inside. Like to count how many times he has had the ball shoved in his face when he went inside? Can he be a good player? Of course. But not as a freshman. I bet UCal folks have some smiles now.

Sorry, Cajun, but I live in the REAL world. I am a realist and I call things like I see them. Don't try to paint me as some bandwagon fan because I have bled crimson since I was born. That doesn't mean, however, that I close my eyes to poor play and effort. I hope this week off gets us straightened out, for I, too, think we have a talented team. I realize Coach Gottfried isn't stupid and that we have NBA caliber players on the team. That is why it is so frustrating to watch them play so poorly. Please don't act holier than thou and not expect a rebuttal.
