Question: Who to root for? Who wins? Chick-fil-A Bowl: UT v. VT

don't care. just hope it's a good game.

never been one to be concerned about conference bowl records because I generally have a hard time pulling for the other SEC teams.

I think the simple fact is that the SEC has nothing to prove to the ACC -- the best ACC teams have already been "owned" by the SEC this season. Go Hoakies!

This is where I'm at on this one as well. However, I'm with RollTideFanz in that I like to see the SEC win, but that doesn't mean I have to actively root for a member school to do so. :)

For me: ALWAYS...even for Auburn. I don't hate Auburn. I just love Alabama. So whenever an SEC team is playing an out of conference opponent, I root for the conference.
So I'll be pulling for UT, even though I have an tremendous amount of respect for Coach Beamer and the VaTech program.

I'll also be pulling for LSU to put a super whooping on Penn St. I remember Tennessee letting the conference down BIG TIME a couple years ago against them in a bowl game and the Penn St. RB talking really big after the game about how the SEC isn't so tough, etc. I need LSU to bruise them up pretty good to give them an appetizer of the type of punishment they should expect in Tuscaloosa next season.
 
I want total SEC post-season dominance. I may not be "cheering" for Tennessee, but I want them to win their game. SEC dominance does nothing but help us all look good at this point.

Screw all the teams that were rooting for us to get the death penalty. I couldn't care less about 'which conference is better'. I'm a Bama fan, not an SEC fan.

We don't need everyone else to look good. IMO we'll look plenty good once we win next week.

I have to kindly disagree. USC ran off a dynasty this past decade but nobody outside of the West Coast takes it seriously because the Pac-10 was (or was perceived to be) weak. So if we're piling up championships in what is undoubtedly the strongest conference in the country, it says quite a bit.

Go Hokies!!! The viles are on my crap list, and the barn is close behind. I will pull for all the other SEC teams to win, but my detest for those two is way more than any allegience I may have for our conference siblings.

I wouldn't mind the SEC swapping KY. and Vandy to the ACC for Clemson and VT. The Cats and the Dores would be a good fit for the ACC. As far as picking the winner of Tn. and VT, depends on which Vol team shows up. Same with the Barn, depends on which Barn team shows up.
