In my opinion the best Quarterback in Bama history is Kenny Stabler. I don't think he's on the list. But that's who I vote for.

Are you kidding me? I left he and Joe Namath off by accident. Had them on the list originally but went in and changed somethings and must have left them out.

I'm sure we'll get a bunch of others.

Geesh! My bad!!!

Can a Mod change the entries for me?

I think you can do it yourself but I have no clue as to how...lol

Namath...

From a different era, but Harry Gilmer needs consideration. One of the better athletes ever to play at Alabama.

Walter Lewis at least needs to be on the list. In my opinion, very underrated player for us.

All time or just since 1961? :conf2:

BTW, you have some on there that would not even be in the conversation.
I know, I thought I had weeded them out. I originally had Namath, Stabler, Dixie Howell and Harry Gilmer. It only gives 13 slots though, so I took Gilmer and Howell off, but mistakenly took Namath and Stabler off. I hit enter too fast.

One QB, actually two, that did totally fantastic jobs but seemingly never get their name mentioned is the Rutledge brothers, Gary and Jeff.

I thought they were tremendous. Not the best of all time, but certainly worthy of a mention.

I don't think I'd be wrong in saying that Jeff probably had the longest NFL career of any Bama QB ever. True it was mostly as a back up but he played for what?? 15-18 years...??

From that list I picked Pat Trammel, although he's before my time. I almost picked Gary Hollingsworth, as he and Walter Lewis are my favorite semi-forgotten QB heroes. Gotta say, though, leaving Joe Willie and the Snake off the list is somewhat akin to running the wrong way in the Iron Bowl.
