Go Vols. I 'need' UT to win in order to have my theory proven correct. My theory being that the sheep-humpers will lose 3 due to the Tuberville Factor. So, UT beats them, we beat them and either Ole Sis or Arky beats them. Then, we go into Knoxville undefeated and UT undefeated (they beat UGA, too). We win, win the West, meet UT AGAIN in the SECCG and beat them twice in one year.

I kinda like this idea. Beat them twice in one year like we did to Florida in the Swamp and then the SECCG.
It would really pain me to watch Twonnessee win a game, but I would like them to be undefeated when we visit Neyland Stadium.
I want the Bama players doing hop-scotch in their checker-board end zone.

I don't think of it as rooting for one of them to win. I like to think of it as "Hey, I know either Auburn or Tennessee will lose", and it makes me happy.

My instinct is to want Auburn to win, because I see Auburn as a rival, while I see Tennessee as pure evil. But I like what bamanut_aj had to say...

I have not lived in ALABAMA in a long time so it is easier to want auburn to win. I am from South AL and never knew how bad UT hated us until I moved to MT. Juliet TN. It did not take me long to see what was going on. They could not stand to see UA win at anything. I did meet some good fans but for the most part they hated us. The fans that you have to live around will affect how you feel about a team. Its not often that I want auburn to win but this is one of those times. During the bowl games I would always pull for the SEC team. I will not pull for the viles at anytime until they replace Phatlock. Then it may take some time after all that has happened.

Well, I won't let a handful of Tennessee people and NCAA favoritism towards the Vols distract me from hating Auburn more than anyone else. :biggrin:

Besides, Auburn is in our division and UT is not. If Auburn loses and we beat the Hogs and USC, look who would be in first place in the SEC West all by themselves!

guys, this is an easy one...

If you REALLY want to be a classy 'Bama fan, of course you pull for IN-STATE school, AUBURN...it's a no-brainer. Any success by them should be looked on as success for us, and only brings POSITIVE attention to Alabama football in general. Just like we should pull for "our own" when we (SEC teams) play any out of SEC rivals...it only builds our conference with wins. Now, I hate UT like the next guy, but when they play out of conference, I do pull for them, even though it sometimes makes me sick ; )

I am totally pulling for a extra long, miserable, injury filled, emotionally draining, physically draining, and especially excrutiating tie. If that does not happen, maybe Fulmer will just choke on a hot dog or twelve before the game. Then I will be so happy, I will too busy celebrating to catch the game.

I'd like to see them go 9 overtime periods, then UT loses 75 yards in 4 plays and AU wins by a safety. Both teams are so tired , they lose big the next week.

I absolutely cannot stand Auburn, but I want to see Tennessee suffer slowly and agonizingly. I kind of have a benign distate for Tubs, but the most ample and rotund Fulmer makes me sick every time I see him. I guess I'd rather see barn win.

I don't like either ... but it only helps us if UT beats Auburn ... the more teams to fall in the West, the better ..........I really want to be in Atlanta!! Talk about a cool way to come out of our probation and definitely would help in the recruiting efforts!
