Why do we have no run game?

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

I don't understand why OP is asking this question when it has been discussed and forseen. Who is the offensive coordinator? Go look him up and do a little reading on the play caller. This is expected!!! It's Ryan Grubb's offense, just get used to it as long as he is here, it's working too. Just relax and embrace the offensive philosophy change.

I think it comes down to Bama simply do not focus on the run game during the week of practices. That is on the coaches. But I do think Hill/Young/Dear/Riley are not ready for primetime, yet, and Jam seems to be passive when running the ball.

Eventually they will, imo, but right now if Bama can get anything out of the run game it is gravy.

We haven’t been able to run the ball since 2020
Brian Robinson and J. Gibbs had good years since 2020. Of course our OL is godawful opening holes. But Miller never finds even the smallest hole to slip through and explode at least occasionally Were all praying for Hill and he’s had less of a chance, but let’s not pretend he’s been a Godsend, either.
