My guess would be as long as they have a mother or sister heck for that matter a dad or brother they will never have to worry about getting a date for the Prom~~!~~

I guess it's great to be a barn fan because of the great "tradition". I remember one of thier new recruits mentioning this on NSD and I tried to think of what he could be talking about.....A "tradition" of....maybe.....walking through some fans on the way to the locker room before games.......letting a bird fly around at halftime, or whatever.......Not much else I can think of.

Compared to our REAL tradition of winning CHAMPIONSHIPS, this seems laughable. I had a tough time thinking of what tradition he was referring to.:BigA::biggrin:

most of the sidewalk alumni barn fans I know, chose the barn cause they felt sorry for them, they thought the barn would rise up some day , and they wanted to be there when it did. too bad they had to wait for 2004 and they almost ran off tubbs before he could do it, and he almost let Tech comeback on them. 1993 was on probation so that was bitter sweet.

the few barn graduates I know pull for them cause they went there.

The funny thing about most of the people i work with, most didnt graduate from from bama. Our VP of sales went to Memphis, Big bama fan.
COO went to jax state, Roll tide fan...
Jeff state/ UAB here... Tide fan brotha...
I even know a Penn state grad at work wears a tide cap.... go figure...

I'm not sure why it's great to be an Auburn fan, but I have picked up on why it's great to wear an AU shirt. Apparently most AU fans go all the way to Auburn to buy their shirts, while Bama fans are smart enough to just go to the local wal-mart. I just can't imagine driving to Tuscaloosa just to buy a t-shirt in the way they went to AU to buy theirs. :biggrin2:

Maybe their amazing farm skills help them make softer cotton shirts?

Wow, I voted "We don't know", and found myself to be in a great minority. I just assumed most times you ask an aubie something, their response would be "I don't know", or "We don't know". I mean, do they know stuff? :conf2:

for the record awbarn university has 0 that is ZERO National Championships but in their defense API has 1...........

Then again maybe it is because Tubby is gone and Dye's back in charge?

Auburn is Pat Dye country again

Is that sweat I see over Chizik's lip? ;)

I got it straight from a barner fan last night.... You never have to search for an excuse for being a dumb..... it is already a given commodity and any idiotic, moronic and/or bonehead move is perfectly acceptable and honestly expected~!~

Its great to be a barner, cause they have no expectations of championships, they only care to win 1 game a year!

I hadn't thought of this one until recently. It seems lately that every time I get behind someone on the road who is driving like they've never been behind the wheel of a car, they invariably have a AU tag or sticker on their vehicle.

It's great for them to be Auburn fans, so they can drive like complete idiots and everyone around them will know why!!

It's not...really, these folks are fans cause I don't know why. Liking Auburn is a chance to be different I suppose. To me, its always been, I'm from Bama I'm a fan of Bama...who the heck is auburn?

It's a little cow pasture in Georgia with a tree and a general store on one end and a sociology school on the other. They get their toilet paper at the general store. After they relieve themselves in the pasture they hang their used toilet paper in the tree. When it dries, they take it back down, paint it orange and blue and sew it into sports uniforms for their little sociology school.

Heh, well put... You know, the more success Alabama has the more Barn fans will outdo themselves and irritate the rest of us. They will cling ever more desperately to their camoflage and trumpet "values and family" cause that's the classic ingratiating highroad.
