Will Bama's O-line Break Under UF Defense?

Realted to my question from yesterday, is it realistic to think that our inexperieinced offensive line will provide the protection it needs to against Florida's aggressive, blitzing defense?

We seem to match up very well with Florida except in two areas: special teams and at the offensive line of scrimmage. Special teams' play is obviously a whole other topic, but if the O-line has an uneven performance and Brodie can't throw and KD can't run, then problems with our kicking game won't really matter.

So, question of the day: Is our offensive line really ready?

Who knows? I do know that they have the same situation as us. They have a good defense and skill players, but their offensive line has been shaky at best. They have given up 13 sacks, and 5 to UT. So, I like the way our D matches up with them.

Pass blocking will be fine. Run blocking will struggle early but improve as the game progresses...just like every other game this year except SC.

UF's special teams have not been all that special. I've visited their board and they seem really down on their special teams play.

I recall UF moving around a lot of personel on the D-line this Fall trying to find a configuration that worked. It is not the strength of their D, but it is not that bad either. If our O-line comes in ready to play, I'd say we are evenly matched there. But our O-line is not exactly blowing people off of the ball. If they stuff the run and force us to throw then we will be playing to the stength of their defense, their backfield.

If our D can hold them, look for this to be a low scoring game. I think this one will be settle by less than a touchdown and come down to the wire.

I don't think so. I wasn't blown away by UF's DL against UT nor was I think impressed with the UK game with their OL.

They are good, no doubt.

But they aren't unbelievable.

We can win this battle.
