Oh well. Some of the Dixie Darlings I saw could have been pulling guards, though. I guess it all evens out in the end.

That was funny when they panned in on him. I felt a little sorry for WVU. He was probably a little too good at twirling.
Well it's not beyond the realm of possibility to have male flag corp. Marching bands grew from the military correct? The flag corp supplanted the drill corp? So it's ok for young men to twirl fire arms but not flags? I know this really has no bearing on our modern perceptions of who and who should not fill certain roles in society, but I always enjoy contrasting where things begin and where the end up.
I had the game recorded on the DVR and was fast forwarding through halftime but when I saw that speed by I had to rewind first thinking that was an ugly girl. When I saw she was a guy I had the same reaction as most of you. The really bad thing about it was the way he was dressed. At least they could have had him dressed in something more masculine and still match the other band members/flag girls.
LOL - well, I have to applaud his ability to do what he wants regardless of what society tells him.
btw, mods - i don't think racist undertones would be allowed on here, so maybe the homophobic undertones ("flaggets") should be kept in check as well? Not being PC, just respectful...
