I'm about to turn 24, and I've lived in town since I was a freshman...

I can say yes to:

You ever lived on Reed Street. Bonus points for 330 Reed Street. I forget the actual number, but it was the last Preston Place building on Reed Street. My apartment freshman year was ground zero for the "Reed Street Hostage Party of 2000"

Denny Stadium time is..."

You refuse to believe the Mike Dubose years ever happened and if
You ever see Coach Fran, you plan on kicking him in the balls.

or how about

if you saw Widespread Panic at the Varsity/Solomons (whatever it was called then) with a total of less than 15 people including the band and bar staff

or Blues Traveler at the Tusk

or ever had a Quik Snak meal plan card

Saw the Storm Orphans during a Tornado

Remember when Nicks on the Strip was a movie Theater

Went to the Houndstooth when it was only 1/3 (far right) of the current building with a small patio out back

you went to Storyville for a Lynchburg Lemonaide

The Cliffs...

I remember my first jump off of the "Big Cliff". Jumping over the trees below to make it to the water was one of the scariest things I can remember ever doing.

The "Ghosts of Northport" were heart stopping the first time. I am from Reform so the face in the window was common for me.

I used to go to the Citizen's Club after hours. We would sometimes drive to Columbus to The Club and make a trip back to Tuscaloosa to the CC on Saturday's.

I remember the "Mind Bender" drink from the Sidetracks.

All of the "old school" points mentioned bring back alot of memories for this 35 year old.

I also remember all the runs to Bruno's for beer. and Crazy Buckets "to go".

You remember that the vacant lot used to be Solomon's. Including the bar and the deli. The bar later changed the name to Varsity, the the Zoo.

Funny story about Solomon's - I had moved back to Alabama several years ago and was on campus for a game. My in-laws were sitting seperately from my wife and I and I told them to meet us after the game on the corner by Solomon's deli. It took them a while to find someone old enough to be able to direct them to the vacant lot.

Derailer at Sidetrack

attempted to drink beers from every available county from International Deli

danced on the picnic tables at L & N club

I feel old now.

The Cliffs...

They vary in height. There is one when you first walk up the hill that is 8 feet high, as you walk around to the right they got higher. I know the cliff in the bend as you walked around was 15-20 feet high (maybe higher, it has been 15 years or so), then there was this one that you had to jump over the top of some small pine trees that was 30-40 feet high. The tall one was pretty scary since you had to jump over the trees and clear the last 3-4 feet of rock before you got to the water. It was great fun though. There were people everywhere after classes and on the weekends.
