Okay, but who expected them to beat #1 (at the time) Georgia?of course most reasonable fans did not think DeBoer would go undefeated in year 1, but no one expected any loss to Vandy.
Not many people that I'm aware of.

Isn't that a bit of an extrapolation? What if we'd lost to Vandy the week before the Georgia game? Then everyone would be saying that "we learned our lesson from Vandy and that's why we beat Georgia."This. I get 10-2. But if you lose to Vandy, you're likely going 9-3 or worse.
When you lose is important.Isn't that a bit of an extrapolation? What if we'd lost to Vandy the week before the Georgia game? Then everyone would be saying that "we learned our lesson from Vandy and that's why we beat Georgia."
Yeah but there is a difference between being down after a bad loss and wanting to fire everyone after one. There is way too much of the latter here.with all due respect, we just lost to Vanderbilt. The Eeyores have every right in the world to be “back”.
As hard as it is to say right now, let’s see how the rest of the season plays out. Roll Tide.Yeah but there is a difference between being down after a bad loss and wanting to fire everyone after one. There is way too much of the latter here.
It’s a bad embarrassing loss in the first year of a new regime. It happens.
I think a huge reason many are taking this so hard is because it’s Vandy… a team everyone has joked about for 40 something years. I still think our worst loss is the 99 LaTech game. There is no reason we should’ve lost any game that year with Shaun Alexander and a highly experienced team behind. To be beaten at home by LaTech probably costed us a chance at a national championship. As hard as it is to say right now, let’s see how the rest of the season plays out. Roll Tide.
Whether you or I accept it matters not. That it is not acceptable? Seems legit to me. Maybe you can accept it? Doesn't mean that others should.
Part of the issue is how that second half went against Georgia. It was like two games, one of them a loss. 27-11 in the second half was a bad performance, saved only by a fantastic first half performance. The second half against Vanderbilt was still bad as well, 21-17 against Vanderbilt.Okay, but who expected them to beat #1 (at the time) Georgia?

Well none of us are playing and none of us are coaching at Alabama so I don’t know what more we can do but accept we lost and move on.Whether you or I accept it matters not.

That's my point - I'm not sure what this thread is supposed to add to the already existing discussions.Nothing that we say on this board matters. We are a community, having a discussion.
Emphasis added. Some of us are just Whining about things we can't control!
LOL - I don't see anything childish or petulant about these discussions. Might be annoying to some. They will get over it.Some of us are just Whining about things we can't control!
Maybe you've not read all the posts, but there have been some real Eyeores.LOL - I don't see anything childish or petulant about these discussions. Might be annoying to some. They will get over it.
I agree that some people are not handling this well. I am okay with the venting. It is harmless.Maybe you've not read all the posts, but there have been some real Eyeores.
Most are not, and I guess we should have expected it, but man...
