Your favorite Coach Bryant quote?

"I ain't never been nothing but a winner." That's the first thing I see when I walk into my den. I bought this banner with his quote on it a few years ago from the Bryant museum. I have bookmarked in You Tube where he's saying that "I want the people to remember me as a winner, cause I ain't never been nothing but a winner." When he says "I ain't never been nothing but a winner" I get the biggest chill bump you ever seen. And I'm 55 years old, it don't matter how old we are we still love Coach Bryant don't we.

Mine is:
" If you believe in yourself and have dedication and pride - and never quit, you'll be a winner. The price of victory is high - but so are the rewards."

That quote speaks volumes to me.

Coach Bryant Quotes

I think someone posted one one this site before where Coach Bryant told a player that he would never be good enough to cost UA 30 yards worth of penalties after his second personal foul on consecutive plays.

“It's not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win that makes the difference.” - Bear Bryant

I think this one speaks volumes to anyone that teaches or coaches.
Definitely one of my favorites. Here's another that's not as well known, but I like it:

"Little things make the difference. Everyone is well prepared in the big things, but only the winners perfect the little things."

I remember watching his show and him repeatedly saying, "Kickin' is one-third of the game" and "Expect the unexpected". He also used to shout "Bingo, Charlie!" whenever there was a nice hit by a player.

For the ones that got to see him in person or meet him, I hope ya'll realize how fortunate you were. I've been major Bama for almost 50 years and closet I come to him was on tv. I've only been to Bryant-Denny twice, 08 and 09 ballgames. You always expect them to live forever?

I loved hearing him say "Bingo, Charley, that's a goodie" during the Bear Bryant show anytime a Tide player made a great tackle or block.
But, the poem he carried with him in his wallet is in my desk at work and is my favorite even though he did not write it. I look at it several times a month just to remind me that I am trading a day of my life for what I do that day-am I using it to do good? Pretty good words to live by IMO.
