Your window on your world? - Part 2

Couple months ago I harvested fruit from one of my Alexander palms - a variety known as 'Tuckeri'.

After removing the flesh I planted the seed. Half in baggies of moist sphagnum moss and half directly into soil (some in community pots and some in seedling trays).

The baggies have been indoors so better temps for germination and sure enough today after 2 months, I removed some that had sprouts on them!

I will plant these in individual pots today and now that I know my fruit is viable will harvest the remaining fruit from the tree. :)

Did some work on my latest motorcycle today. It's still in my trailer on the front driveway. An Osprey kept me company perched atop the neighbor's Norfolk Island Pine across the street.......

60's and overcast but not windy so decent day for a bike ride. Waves are flat but as is usual there's always a little bump to be found *somewhere* at "the inlet". In this case a lone female surfer out getting her stoke on - regardless of the circumstances. Happy New Year! :)

Quick run this afternoon to my storage unit to do a few motorcycle things and then to the Winn Dixie, which is 2 minutes away, to grab a scratch off ticket and some food items.

It was a $20 scratch off ticket and I checked it right away and won $30, so a yield of $10.

Then had the privilege to thank a Vietnam Army vet, who was in a wheelchair.

Then in the chips aisle did some joking around with a couple guys about the upcoming game on Monday.

None were necessarily "Indiana fans" but we all agreed Miami is going to receive a beat down....lol.

Then as I loaded my provisions into my Silverado, I noticed a young man with a beautiful White 2014 VFR800 Interceptor....so naturally had to stroll over and ooogle his machine and have a chat. Super good kid - said he wanted to give my number to his Dad to chat about these vintage bikes, so I gave it to him and said hi to his Dad who was on the phone.

I didn't take a photo but that was a gorgeous bike. He said they transported it from Dallas.

Couple brothers in front of me at the light I did snap a pic of....... :)
