Your window on your world? - Part 2

On a mission this week to get all my Blue bikes re-titled and registered. They all have out of state titles, so the tag office needs to verify the VIN on each one before proceeding.

Mission accomplished!

The last one was purchased from an Alabama seller.

Luckily, vehicles in Alabama past 30 years of age do not require a title.

So I was able to get everything done with a copy of the seller's last registration in 2024 and a Bill of Sale.

The tag office today was swamped....I guess due to it being Friday. I got into some great conversations with other customers there while waiting.

Interesting day at my Storage facility. I have never seen so much activity! And on a day I was meeting a transporter bringing me another motorcycle. And he had a huge trailer! We got it all done and everything worked out but man oh man it was like a chess match!

I did have the good fortune while waiting to meet a guy who had his unit right across from mine. I had never seen him before, but his unit was under a shade tree and had electricity so I wanted to introduce myself and find out if he had any plans to evacuate, as that unit would interest me for my motorcycle work.

Setting all that aside, it turned out we both had a lot of mutual familiarity with other people in town. And I learned some cool stuff about his family like a grandmother and grandfather who sailed yachts in the 30's including one of the J-class's in the America's Cup.

There's too much to go into but I looked up his FB page and here is a pic of some of his artwork and a pic of his Grandmother. He's a finish carpenter and painter too, so we both knew the same trades folks in town.

Sorta made my day.
