Funny quote from TE Vogler:

Volger: “It was awesome. I didn’t know how to react at first. I said to myself, ‘Oh my God, these people are crazy.’ Then after talking to them later in the day, I realized that’s just their style. That’s how they go.”

You've heard clamoring for spring football for years to take up the slack during the periods such as signing day to spring practice and spring scrimmages to the start of fall practice. Those periods are usually so boring, but now we have the UT staff to entertain us year-round.

As if the antics of young Kiffin and his band of doofi weren't enough, we also have the UT fanbase making every atempt to justify the unjustifiable insanity happening up there in the land that genetic diversity forgot. They might as well attempt to argue that the earth is the center of the universe and it would be received with as much credibility.

Now I know why many Ole Miss fans said they felt like they were the punch line of the SEC while the Grape Ape (Orgeron) was lumbering around their sidelines.

What brainiac had the bright idea to give this guy the keys to the football program?

If that's how they go, then they would probably be better suited to coaching on "Dancing with the Stars" than at a football program. Isn't that how most of those dancers go?

Big time receiver likes Tennessee and CLK

Over on volquest interview he said this also

"We were in a dark theater and all of a sudden they turned on the lights and the coaches ripped off their shirts," Ambles said with a laugh."It was like in the army and it got crunk up in there. Some of the players that were in there did some chants. It got crunk."

Sounds like a bunch of 16 year-olds running the show, rather than "coaches."

How on earth would this kid know what it is "like in the army"?

The only army that sounds like is the Spartans under Leonidas in 300. They got crunk, too.

I am a pretty hardcore follower of recruiting. I have no idea how this could ever appeal to any recruit. Obviously USC did it but, to be honest, most kids that sign with USC were probably going to go there even if Pete Carrol came out and and did the hokey pokey on stage. It is nothing but a joke at UT and I am not even sure that it sends the right message about the program.

And as far as what recruits supposedly say about these things after visiting UT, you must remember most of those articles are written by UT sites and hence are slanted to pump up their subscribers. It happens with most team's premium sites and it is well known that this is the case.

I personally would absolutely be livid if I found out the staff of my beloved team performed this side show act. It is ridiculous and I am certain most SEC coaches are having a good laugh about it. Could you imagine if someone suggested to Nick he should go out at Junior Day and take off shirt and perform some kind of homoerotic male bonding freak show? I would be afraid for that person's safety. RTR. :BigA:

I could probably go to the Urban Dictionary site and sorry this is OT, but can anyone explain what "crunk" means?

My thoughts exactly. The "get crunk" euphoria will wear off quickly. Then parents, grandparents, and athlete maturity enter the picture. Presumably the TN coaches figure the athletes' parents and grandparents are OK with coaches stripping for their sons, followed by a "get crunk" atmosphere. :p_eyes:
