I actually gained a lot of respect for their staff because of how hard the UT players played on Saturday. They really got after it. But Lane won't let you respect him, he's acting very immature and looking for someone else to blame...he sounds like a spoiled little kid.

I'd almost be willing to bet he'll be respimanded again, simply because UT will most assuredly lose at least 2 more games and he's gonna be looking for someone to blame when that happens.

Monte should take over as HC for the time being.

I would be willing to bet that if you polled the Tennessee football team, more than 90% would say that calling for a re-kick because Cody pulled his helmet off would be a total injustice. I don't know anybody, except those brainless announcers, who would have even mentioned it! He's a KID for cripe's sake! He just saved our chance for a National Championship! The kick was low, and the kicker had already kicked one too low and had it blocked (by the same guy) earlier in the game! What? He deserves another chance because our guy showed some enthusiasm?

I agree with the poster who said that his respect for the Vols had increased. They played a whale of a game, and the played well enough to win. But they didn't win; and all the whining in the world won't change that.

Indeed. I think we caught a glimpse of that on the sidelines prior to the start of the game. Instead of conversing with the referees about the headphones, Lane stood over to the side pouting like a 3 year old brat while his dad did the actual work.

I was at the game, so last night I watched the telecast and that was the first thing that jumped out at me. I thought, why is Daddy fighting his battles? I just couldn't imagine a scenario where Coach Saban would be letting an assistant coach or a coordinator do the talking for him.

I don't know, a "reprimand" isn't much until there's a material consequence IMO. Little Kif said it himself that he'd get "one of those letters that don't really matter" and until he gets a suspension or gets hit in the wallet, it really "doesn't matter..."

I think this public statement.......is exactly why he is in major trouble. I'm sure Slive has had enough of this attitude. If he opens that mouth again and talks back to the SEC and what they do, the SEC will take action. I would like to know what exactly the SEC has the power to do, can they take away TV coverage???? He would really throw a temper tantrum if they can actually pull his TV rights.
