is it a fact that no merchandise may be sold in regards to UA with a player's name on it?

You can legally shirts, caps, etc. after a player leaves, correct? Example: I would love to have a #12 with Namath or Stabler on it.

Problem was reported, Jennifer was very glad to get the information. They will be investigating. I mentioned this site is where I got her info. She then said they are getting a lot of info through blogs and such on these kinds of things because fans do not want the school in a probation situation again.

If a current player, that would be a violation of NCAA rules. So if you see the merchandise, it is counterfeit and should be reported to the University.
Wow...That's kind of scary...I would be ticked if someone did this and got the University in trouble.

I found a website that I have a question about...I posted it but edited it out because I don't want to get in trouble for posting it.. but yeah.. they have some of the players names on shirts but they kind of changed the names up... I.E. Julio as JU-LI-OH and Javier as JA-VI-AIR.. and they have their numbers on the shirt...

It's not the kind of thing that would get the University in trouble or anything. They are vigilant in stopping it and are no way involved in the production of that type of thing.
Ohhhh okay. My computer is acting up and I have to post something and edit it before it will le me type much.. so I edited as you quoted me. Maybe you can check out my post again (#13) and see what you think. You seem to be knowledgeable about the issue and I don't want to go sending someone an email if it's nothing.

Darn it, this is aggravating!

For Shaquille O'Neal's last game at LSU, the athletic department made about 500 T-shirts with SHAQ on the back in 12" letters to honor the occasion. It was no NCAA violation, but Shaq's father quickly let the AD know that LSU did not have a marketing agreement with the family to sell products with the trademarked term SHAQ on it. LSU ended up giving Sgt. Harrison all 500 shirts.

Resurrecting an old thread. While walking into the stadium Saturday, there across the street from the cemetary, I saw jerseys being sold with Ingram, Cody, and Julio on them. Complete with numbers. Apparently the University doesn't bother to check the street vendors on campus. These people even hava a website but for the life of me I can't remember it.
