Everybody has commented about nearly every part of the Rose Bowl expereince but I just want to say thanks to all the mexicans that was cooking before and after the game.
I thought I has seen about everything but I saw these people cooking food in nearly every object imaginable.
One women has a Walgreens shopping cart with fire in the bottom and was cooking these onions and peppers upon exiting the Rose Bowl. In fact as we were walking out it was bottled neck and in the middle and on all sides of the crowd these poeple were selling everything from tacos to a vegatable plate. This heavy smoke filled the air with very nice cooking smells. I guess you just had to see it but some people made some money after the BCS game selling peppers and onions.

I got one of the Cheese Burgers inside the stadium, either I was starving or that was one of the better burgers I've ever had. Very Good stadium food.
Agreed, those cheeseburgers from Fatburgers were delicious. The air was very aromatic with the smells from all the various foods being cooked around the stadium. At different times you could smell different things and think, I want some of that. Not all the smoke in the stadium was from the fireworks!

There was an In-N-Out burger place near our hotel, we stayed in Ontario, and the place was crowded everytime we went by there, especially after the game Thursday night. Hate I missed getting in there.

Yeah, the problem with In-N-Out is that they are always crowded. It's just something we've had to grow accustomed to out here -- it's worth it for all that hamburgery goodness.

Where'd you stay in Ontario? Were you in one of the hotels behind Ontario Mills or did you stay elsewhere? Just trying to picture in my mind where my compatriots were out here. :)

We were afraid of the cooked-in-a-shopping-cart weenies after the game, so we headed back to our hotel hoping to come across something on the way. Lo and behold, passed by an In-and-Out Burger that was not packed and got a box full o burgers and fries. Really good stuff. And WAY cheap.

Heart attack wrapped in a bun lol :)
I gotta be honest and say that I've never had one. They sell them all over the place during big events like this -- I was first introduced to the phenomenon at the Rose Parade a few years back. Always kinda wanted to try it, but I just can't make myself.

They grill 'em up on those carts alongside onions and chili peppers and the aroma is almost unbearable.

Next time you're out our way, make sure you order those fries "animal-style". ;)

We stayed at the Ontario Airport Marriott. There were many Bama fans staying there and at least one Texas group. Being that near the airport made for an easy departure on Friday morning and allowed us some extra, and much needed, sleep time. My son even ran into a couple of coaches from Idaho at the hotel and struck up a nice little conversation. We enjoyed our stay.

Yeah, I know that one, and the In-N-Out, too. Ironically, probably one of the few out here I've never eaten at. LOL. Glad you guys enjoyed your stay in the area.

I was out in CA last April to deliver a boat for my brother's transport company. I got it delivered and got back to my hotel for the night and called him to say it was delivered. He had lived in CA for about a year and told me to take some company cash and hit an In and Out Burger, his treat...man that was so good...wish they would open up some this side of the Mississippi!
