I'll even call shenanigans on Obama for this one. Supposedly they buses in 300-400 workers for his photo op visit paying them $12 an hour. The parish president said the most he's seen before or after were 20 workers at that site.

Honestly at this point I'm starting to get peeved at the administration's finger pointing at BP for the lack of cleanup response when it was BP's responsibility to get the well stopped and the government's responsibility to lead spill containment. At least that is how I understand the roles.

Seems like you failed to notice an important part of the story - from the same article:

Suttles added that the workers would be back Saturday morning to continue working.

The company hired to provide the cleanup workers told WWL, a New Orleans-based radio station, that it was told to beef up the cleaning work force five days ago.

"No, I did not put extra workers on the job because the president was coming," said Donald Nalty of Environmental Safety and Health, which was contracted by BP to help in the cleanup effort.

An official at the oil cleanup command center told CNN that a temporary busing system had been established to shuttle the growing number of workers because of limited parking and housing accommodations in areas most impacted by the spilled oil. The official said trained responders were putting in 12 to 14-hour days.
Mystery solved, except for those tim foil hat wearing posters who look for new reason to throw stones at someone else every day.

Pelosi and Chris Dodd seem to have no problem perfecting the craft of stone throwing.

Are you trying to say that you don't automatically believe everything you are told by BP and/or it's contractors?!?
Are you trying to say that you automatically believe every tin foil hat wearing article in the media as long as it casts Obama in a bad light? :eek2:

I never said I believed anything. I don't know what happened.

You, on the other hand, immediately held up the BP contractor claim as the gospel. There you have it.

LOL - I just pointed out the fallacy of the initial post. I don't really care about this sort of crap. It is the media being the media, and posters on this board reacting like clockwork. You guys are so predictable...

LOL- You, on the other hand, are of course independently thoughtful, forming wise opinions based on the real facts gleaned from unbiased sources and BP contractors

You clearly don't care about such as this, that's why post so many times in the thread. Very clear.

It took you from March of 2001 to figure this out?

I tend to believe the parish president that was quoted in the article. After all they are his beaches that are getting oiled. I think he would be able to quantify the number of cleanup workers on them. If he said there were 20 the day before Obama went there, 400 they day of, and 20 the day after I'll take his word.

He did not say how many were there the day after.

But, when Obama departed, so did the workers, he said, adding that he's never seen more than 20 workers at the Grand Isle cleanup site since the effort started.

How is this not saying that there wasn't more than 20 workers the day after Obama left. It clearly says that there wasn't more than 20 workers there except on the day of Obama's visit. In one thread you carry on when I don't read into your words and know what you meant to say while you can't even read the words here and know what they mean. Seems like you just want to be confrontational.:conf3:
