I grew up in Baton Rouge and considered myself an LSU fan.My grandfather was a huge bama fan,So I grew up knowing who Bear bryant was.We went to a couple of games at tiger stadium and never really got into it.I guess since I was around so many tiger fans I just wanted to fit in.Then when I was 13 we moved to a little town outside of Dothan called Ashford. My first day of school I was asked who I pulled for"Alabama or Auburn" I told them I was an Lsu fan and I just got an odd look.Well a couple of weeks later I got home from school and my grandfather was excited to tell me we had tickets to the bama tulane game. All I remember is getting to ttown an walking to the stadium and thinking this is awesome.Well of course bama won and I was hooked.I have seen or listened to every game since that day.

My dad taught me about 'Bama football when I was a kid. My dad actually went to Minor High School about 75 years ago. But my first memory of being a 'Bama fan was when I was in Jr High school, and this guy named Joe Namath played for the NY Jets. Dad told me he went to 'Bama. So, I had to start watching 'Bama football and loved it.

The 1992 season...it also happened to coincide with my sister deciding to go to Bama. We were actually unofficially Barners at that point (moved to Prattville in 89 and the Barn won the IB that year and we didn't know any better, plus being in WSFA's TV market out of Montgomery, you'd think The Barn was the only team that existed).

New Year's Day 1979 watching the Tide rise up at the goal line and defeat Penn State 14-7 to win the 1978 National Championship! I was 10 years old, and I've been hooked ever since!

When I got season tickets in 2005... My dad has been an Alabama fan since '61, so I was raised to know that orange is never a good color. Before I got the season tickets, I really didn't care much about college football. But once I started going to BDS each Saturday in the fall, I realized that there's not anything better.

And, since 2005, I've only missed two home games. :) (Florida '05, ULM '07)

I was 'Marked' at birth. My mom was the Alabama Fan. She made sure I was exposed to Alabama on the radio. (No T.V. until I was in Grammar School)

Ever since I was 4 and I attended my first Alabama game. I really remember watching every game during the 1997 season, when I was 7. I remember watching us get railed by Va Tech (that's the first game I can remember pretty well) . I remember the 1999 season, my favorite player and still is in Shaun Alexander. Then sadly I remember the down years while in middle and high school. But now at UA, all I can say is ROLL TIDE!

I turned on the tv when I was about 8 years old and saw a team playing football and wearing these awesome Crimson uniforms and thought "Those uniforms are cool."
