I'm sitting at my girlfriends apartment watching college gameday, and I'm going nuts. "Football is stupid", "has anybody told you football is boring", "blah blah blah"... Coming from two girls who LIKE woman basketball.

After watching a marathon of Glee last night. And not saying a word. I believe I deserve peace and quiet on gameday. That's all I ask.

Sigh...

Hehe. I'm sorry. I probably like sports more so than some guys so I cannot testify to that feeling. I'd watch football everyday if it were on.

Maybe she just don't understand it. My wife didn't years ago and I started teaching her what things meant and slowly she really started getting into it. Now life is good. Invest that time man, it'll pay off later....

I agree with CrimsonAudio...go somewhere else. After your sacrifice last night, something has to give. Women...can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em...but football has its place in there somewhere.

You need to explain to her that this Bama game vs. Florida is big and that the entire day is dedicated to Tide fans preparing for the game. Tell her to get out of the kitchen if she can not handle the heat, err I mean go shopping. ;)

From experience with this situation, you gotta pick your battles. This is what someone once told me when I was dating my now wife about 5 years ago. I had dropped her off at her girlfiends condo, the girls were getting thier hair and nails done for a wedding and I attempted to put on the tv and had a game on, when in a second, one of the girls changed that channel. Needless to say, I wasnt able to watch the game, but made the best of it.

I just ask my wife, " Where would you prefer I watch the game? She usually responds with, " Be careful driving home, call me if you need a ride." I know that Earle like this system becasue I am not on here "drinking while posting.":biggrin2:

You could always explain that their brains are underdeveloped (science!) and that's why they don't appreciate football, but you risk going over their heads.
