From another woman poster: That is unforgivable and too much trouble to deal with. There are plenty of women out there who love football and have the other "qualities" you are looking for.

My husband does not enjoy football but he will come in, listen and cheer for just the Alabama game. He's a good man. If your girlfriend cannot give you the same respect, get another one. Do you really want to listen to her complaining for the next 60+ years?? Really...think about it!

Maybe she just don't understand it. My wife didn't years ago and I started teaching her what things meant and slowly she really started getting into it. Now life is good. Invest that time man, it'll pay off later....
Same here. I married a Canadian. I used to wince when she called our starting QB "Cody Broil" but now she's pretty savvy. She even gets the penalties right before the ref calls them. Life is good.

I'm sitting at my girlfriends apartment watching college gameday, and I'm going nuts. "Football is stupid", "has anybody told you football is boring", "blah blah blah"... Coming from two girls who LIKE woman basketball.

After watching a marathon of Glee last night. And not saying a word. I believe I deserve peace and quiet on gameday. That's all I ask.

Sigh...
I saw the title of the thread, and almost did a "Oh He did not!!" Reading your post though...I am so sorry for you. LOL I enjoy football as much if not MORE than my hubby. He is such a lucky man, and I tell him on the regular ;)

This chick sounds like someone I would have either ignored in school or scared (either or). She is just a GF right? Sounds like the good does NOT out weigh the bad, but don't fret lol just think of it as saving money. You wont have to worry about dishing out 3 months salary ;)

Last week I told Mrs. VJ "Bama won a close game against Arkansas." Her reply: "Do they play again tomorrow?"

A Man Cave is absolutely necessary in some relationships.

I like football more than most guys I know. But I could watch Glee and get my hair and nails done, so I consider myself well rounded.:)

Watch the game on your own if you have to. My husband already knows not to mess with the channel, and I'm trying to teach my little boy that too (he's 4).
Me, too. I love Glee. But people know to leave me alone on game day!

Oh.My.God.!!!!! I love, love, love football and can talk football with the best of men! So there are women who are totally involved with the game! My son, who played in high school and college, loves to get his friends together and challenge them to ask me football questions because I always surprise them by knowing as much as they do about the game. And I'm NOT a tomboy! It takes all kinds, but there are those of us out here who know and love the game, so don't stereotype us all! RTR!
