I think that eventually the NZAA will come down on the barn but not before theIron Bowl. No way the barn sits him on their own.

I don't know. I think we may be a little to quick to assume the AD is in on whatever has transpired.

It's entirely possible that the AD / compliance office did a cursory investigation in July-September and felt that there was little to no risk in playing him. If some sort of damning evidence does come to light, e.g. documented conversations, then the barn will have no choice but to sit him voluntarily, regardless of what the NCAA may or may not have to say before the Iron Bowl.


Personally, I hope this is exactly what happens. I want the NCAA to do nothing before the season is over, so no vacated wins for the barn, but for the barn to sit Cam before the Georgia game. Two barn losses to end the year would be fitting, I believe. And and LSU loss to Arkansas to top it off would just make me giddy.

Well, the Auburn family is "All In," so he'll certainly play.

He will play, but it will be close. Things are starting to come out and at some point the ncaa will send a Letter Of Inquiry to awbarn, and he's be ineligible then.

It doesn't matter at this point if they play him or sit him anyway. If he is ineligible then none of their wins count...so why would sitting him for one or two games make any difference now? If they play him then they keep winning...on the field at least. That's better than sitting him and most likely losing outright.

Three weeks is not enough time for the NCAA to decide when and where to go for lunch.

At this point I'd rather Cam Newton play and beat Bama 40-0 than him not play and Bama beat them 40-0. Or.... If he doesn't play and they still beat Bama. I'm already hearing it in my circles from the barners that the only way Bama can beat Auburn is if Newton doesn't play. Win or lose let 'em settle it on the field
