The barn won't sit him voluntarily. I think 3 weeks is enough time for the NCAA to actually say something about his eligiblity. Mainly because I want to believe it's true.
I don't know. I think we may be a little to quick to assume the AD is in on whatever has transpired.
It's entirely possible that the AD / compliance office did a cursory investigation in July-September and felt that there was little to no risk in playing him. If some sort of damning evidence does come to light, e.g. documented conversations, then the barn will have no choice but to sit him voluntarily, regardless of what the NCAA may or may not have to say before the Iron Bowl.
Personally, I hope this is exactly what happens. I want the NCAA to do nothing before the season is over, so no vacated wins for the barn, but for the barn to sit Cam before the Georgia game. Two barn losses to end the year would be fitting, I believe. And and LSU loss to Arkansas to top it off would just make me giddy.
