i dont see that as a problem, he has said he'd like to go to school with his brother, but that it isn't important. its ineresting how everyone this board went from "complete bama lock" to "super panic lockdown Holy crap hes going to auburn!" mode.
I don't think it's panic mode here..But obviously most of us thought he was a Bama lock..Should he choose to go elsewhere..More power to him..I'd rather it not be auburn..

I've read through this thread, but now i'm confused. Where does it say that AU is getting CK?? It's downright hilarious how some of you are freaking out. So what if AU gets his last visit?? People have felt all along that he would end up here, and there's been nothing out of the ordinary to happen that makes me think otherwise. Stop acting like the sky is falling.
i honestly feel that he's simply enjoying his visits...

I was never convinced, ever, that he was a Bama lock. He seems like a truly genuine guy and he has always said that no one is leading. I can definitely see the draw to Iowa, they have a top notch coach, solid facilities, a good university, and very physical offense. I think it is 50/50 at this point.

Most people also conceded that Cyrus would enjoy the recruiting process and take his allowed trips......but when he does a lot of people panic. Cyrus and Arie visited Bama together during Arie's recruitment....Cyrus, reportedly, loved Bama even more that Arie.......Arie signed with Bama...........odds are, so will Cyrus.

I hope Cyrus joins the Tide. He would certainly be a great addition and from the sound of it he would likely be one of the future great leaders on the team. That having ben said, if he chooses to go elsewhere I wish him all the luck in the world in his future. These "kids" need to do what is in their best interests and not the best interests of a group of rabbid fans. lol

whatever happened to "Cyrus was the one who led Arie" to Bama or "Cyrus loves Bama more than Arie" stuff???

I can't wait till NSD is over.
that was true around this time last year..... but, as a person who is around teenagers all day long, it's not surprising to change tunes quickly.

I also don't blame him for taking the opporunity to learn about different schools and finding a true fit.

While I would never ever say that any kid is a lock, I do believe that our odds are better than 50/50.

I know it's mostly a guess, but where do you see him landing?

I don't believe Cyrus is a 100% lock for anyone. But, from reading this thread I can see all the Kouandjio brothers are close. That alone makes me think Cyrus wants to play along side Arie.

I also believe they will be starting on our OL together in a year or two.:)

1- weak argument... yes i just joined this tread, and the only reason i joined this thread was because they were discussing how to pronounce our name. i've been following lots of threads on different cites since arie started getting recruited but this is the first one i have ever posted a comment on. In case you didn't know, family members do follow these forums, we like to get a pulse of what fans are saying. having a low post count does not mean anything my friend. everyone on this board had a low post count at some point.
According to Magnanga Boy, people close to these recruits read what we all say on these threads. I am assuming that though it has been a while since MB has posted, he is still reading. May I suggest as recruiting season is winding down we all give a good last minute effort to make Cyrus feel like a king on here. Maybe he will read it for himself or MB can tell him. I for one have invested a lot of time and energy trying to keep up with CK the last few months. That hasn't been easy considering he doesn't say much, but nevertheless I have "googled" his name at least 3 times a day since August to see if there has been any new developments. It's become one of my hobbies. I wish Cyrus the best, but I admit it will sting a bit if he lands anywhere but T-town. I keep preparing myself for anything, but I can't help but to think if he chooses Auburn or Iowa(Auburn especially), I will eerily resemble one of those last episodes of "The Bachelor". I'll be sitting in the limo(my mini-van) with wet, swollen eyes, snot pouring of my nose, just trying to make sense of it all. I'll be saying to myself, "I thought we had something. I gave him my heart", but yet I'll be empty handed while the horse-faced, hootchie-mama holds the final rose. (Sorry if I've gone too far!) Let's fight for our man! I'm starting a thread-chant, please join in: WE WANT CYRUS! WE WANT CYRUS! Come on Cyrus, let's get this thing signed-sealed-delivered! Best of luck and ROLL TIDE!!!!!!

Without Cyrus we can't have the "Kouandjio Konnection" on our O-line, dominating defenses. I have to admit one Kouandjio is MUCH better than none, but TWO Kouandjio's will open BIIIIIGGG holes through which to run. I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY want Cyrus.

When I think of Cyrus going to Auburn It reminds me of that old media slogan from the 70's. "A mind is a terrible thing to waste"

My hate for Auburn would grow exponentially!!! Right now my feelings for Auburn are along the lines of....pity! But if they take CK from us I may ask one of the fighter pilots in my building to use their stadium for target practice!!! I would hate for Iowa to get him...but at least I wouldn't have to worry about him killing one of our dtackles!

That doesn't worry me, If Lee Ziemba is the best they can do for tackle development I don't see Cyrus reaching his potential in rural south Alabama. Compare that for instance to an original two star James Carpenter who is now flatbacking everyone at Senior Bowl practice. It helps to learn technique OTHER than chop blocking.

Really hope Cyrus chooses Bama when it's time to make that important decision. It would be real cool to have two Brothers playing OL together here at Bama, but whatever program he does choose in the end, I'll wish him the best. Cyrus looks like he's going to be one heck of a football player, and if he chooses Bama. I'm sure Bama Nation & Bama's coaching staff can do what best for Cyrus while preparing him for his life goals & a NFL career too..........
