Is that a guess or do you know something..If you know something..Tell us..
The NCAA didn't let the USC freshmen transfer. USC let Seantrell Henderson out his binding agreement mainly to save some face.
He was the one I was wanting too. My wife is an AU grad and this makes me sick. I hope he changes back to Crimson.Imagine Richardson and Lacy running that left side behind him!Out of all the recruits, Cyrus was the one I wanted the most. I am old school and believe games are won on the LOS. I'm not sure how to react to all this. I am selfishly wanting him to come to Bama, but if that isnt his first choice... well you know. In the end, he needs to do whats best for him, what he wants. I really hope he realizes his opportunities here with the Tide, but I wont hold any ill will if he does not. I really cant imagine what its like being the #3 overall recruit in the nation...
no inside source or facts to back this up, but my gut feeling has been that he has some reservations about competing with his brother (maybe he's afraid he'll push his brother out of a starting spot) and Auburn capitalized on that. I think a lot of other schools that he might have considered backed off because they thought he was an Alabama lock, but as we know, Auburn does not back off (in fact, they seem to really relish going hard after kids who have made verbals to other schools). I hope for his sake that he takes his time, regroups, and goes somewhere that both he and his family can be excited about.
I watched his announcement and I swear he was about to say... The University..... and then out of his mouth came Auburn... IDK. I hope this young man ends up @Bama!
How does wanting the kid to make the right decision "jaded"? Is it "jaded" because I think HE may not want to come to Alabama? I've coached football, granted youth football (ages 8-9, 11-12 yrs old) but parents are parents. I've seen it. They want what's best for their kid SO BAD that they've "got it all planned out! You're going to go do this and this and when you get here you're going to do this...." Yet the entire time the kid doesn't want to do it that way or go that direction.
So yes, I am passionate about CK making the decision that HE feels is best for HIM. Because ultimately everybody wins. He goes where HE wants to go and Alabama doesn't have a player that knee deep into it wishes he would have went with what HE wanted rather than what others wanted. If HE wants to come to Bama I want him at Bama. But if he doesn't then I don't want him here because both parties turn get shorted.

Bama will kick his brother off of the team if Cyrus goes to Auburn. The family does not want the older brother to lose his scholarship. They are a spiteful bunch.
I'm with you. You want him there with his heart being in his decision. I honestly think there are many on this board who cannot possibly imagine why a kid would want to go to any other school than Bama. And I get that. We have a passionate fan base. And it will get worse before it gets better with Auburn being on the rise. But he just flat out didn't look comfortable with his decision today. Hopefully he'll get that worked out with his family.

We just got the "official" list passed out as Gene begins speaking. No Kouandjio on the list. No surprise additions. 9 minutes ago via web Retweeted by shaneyoungblood and 4 others
Check out this from the barn board, funny stuff
No matter what, I hope our fanbase stays classy

I think the difference here is that CK's parents were caught off guard by his announcement. I could see what you are saying if CK would have always had Auburn in his top five, but when they slid in in the last few weeks and his parents didn't even go on the OV, I think it suggests that his parents had no idea that he was going to announce for the Barn. I also think it suggests that his parents believe he is confused and they want him to wait. He may still choose to sign with the Barn, but at least it will be done after he's discussed this with his family. However, I do think these recent events bodes well for his signature elsewhere (and hopefully with Bama).
I'm guessing they assume everyone does it the way they do...First, we and BC's parents kidnapped Calloway and pistol whipping him into decommitting from Auburn to Alabama now they are accusing us of extortion. Fraudian slips by those goobers, perhaps?
