Our defense played lights out. Overall, a good game in hostile territory, but plenty of things to work on. I would like to see the offensive line continue to jell as a unit and our punting needs some serious work. While the defense played great, we seemed to struggle getting to their QB. Still I'm happy and will sleep well tonight.

On paper we ran for 196 yards today. As much griping as took place on the game threads, I'd take that on the road against a top 25 team in front of the largest crowd any Bama team has ever played in front of. Kudos to the o-line, kudos to Coach Stoutland.

The offensive line would probably be fine if there was a greater variety of plays. As things are now the other team knows what is coming most of the time.

Did I see Brandon Lewis play fullback?
Yep, you did.

I liked what I saw from the defense, pass rush could've been a tad better. I do like the fact that there were several vicious hits delivered when WRs got their hands on the ball. Hope to see the offense "open" up a little more in the next couple of weeks.

Agree. There was 2 or 3 drives the OL looked really good. Some good holes. Seems like when Trent was in the game PSU loaded the box. Definitely improvement from last week.

PSU's defense & their punter/special teams will help them win some games in the Big 10, I was underwhelmed with their offense but honestly our defense had a lot to do with the way they played.
As for Bama, right now I still see some issues on our team, mainly oline and special teams (we need some help in the kicking game.)
But overall impressed with McCarron and the poise he played with today, took some risks early but it worked. Some of those passes may not work against an SEC defense though. Our running backs & defense are as good as advertised. Just need some stick-um on the secondary to haul in some of those picks, lol. I do think once our offense gets clicking/irons out some of those snafoos, we're gonna be very good all around.
Really nice win on the road in a loud stadium against a pretty good team. I'll take it.

Will like to see Jess's review. I know Upshaw came out, but our D line/ linebackers in general didn't seem to get good pressure. Looked like most of out blitzes were handled.

And we still have issues punting. Seems like that has been a problem since Lane Bearden.

But I'm nit-picking. Great win at a hostile stadium!!!!
