We may as well keep an open thread for this all season as I'm sure he'll bless us with many. But here are a couple that came from his presser today:

Asked what his thoughts were on LSU serving beer at home games as they do at West Va.: "I fear the upper decks might not hold it." "If they served beer here, no matter the size of the crowd, there would be more enthusiasm for the play."

Better than last week?

"You're going to see a multiple scheme running attack. I really felt like the Oregon attack, though it was a quality attack, did not necessarily use scheme to its advantage. In this case I think it's a really quality scheme."

That is truly a discombobulated way of saying "Oregon sucked."

Re: This week's Les Miles-ism

I'm under the belief now that Les is definitely doing this as an act to get people to underestimate his ability.
Les has always been 'The Class Clown', it's part of his act.
People often forget that he's a pretty good coach.
Les is unorthodox and the folks at LSU love him. Most of them wouldn't trade Les for CNS.
(I think they are wrong, but that's the way the Cajun Clan feel.)

Either that or that's his way of keeping the press off-balanced and from asking further questions. I know if I was the reporter, I'd be so confused I wouldn't ask a follow up question.:D

Les Miles on impact of Texas A&M addition: "I think the SEC will be the home conference for the state of Texas."

I have a friend that my buddies and I have been calling "Norm" for over 35 years due to his use of malapropisms.

Re: This week's Les Miles-ism

When talking about Russell Shepard's return to the line-up, Les said "There will be some immediate awareness and fondness for the offense. I don't think it will take time for Russell to get back into it in any way." Somebody translate "awareness and fondness" for me. Gotta love ol' Les.
