True Freshman impact

First, you can bash me saying that so and so is playing well but we do not have a true freshman impact player like all years past of coach Saban's career at Bama... for a couple of reasons.

I am talking about impacts that have NFL scouts drooling, Like a Cody, Julio, Ingram, Andre Smith, Richardson or McClain for instance. A lot of it has to due with the team depth, but losing two of your three Five star recruits to season ending knee surgery makes me wonder how much of an impact that Dee Hart would have made this year. And if Cyrus would have had his breakout game by now, if it was even needed. Not wanting to talk about what we don't have too much, but with the two Quarterbacks of LSU, not having a fresh talented Cyrus late in the game may hurt. Also, if Lacy is not 100%, what impact would a probable third string RB Dee Hart have made in his rotation? I believe we would have seen flashes of Ingram and Trent as Freshman. That is a big deal, and a bog loss.

Just some thoughts. I see Bama winning by 7. Getting off to a fast start and holding on for dear life. I believe the absence of Cyrus is bigger than many think because our line is better when he is in the game in certain situations.

Say a prayer for our field goal kicker's.

IMO, that is a result of this team being so heavy in upperclassmen. In years past, we have only graduated 9-12 seniors, with only a handful of them starters. Not so this year, and we also have a lot of stud juniors.

Gotcha - With that in mind, it really isn't a problem for Bama this season. It is next season that I worry about.

We lose 2/3 of our starters and I am hoping that Dee Hart makes a good recovery.

FSU is getting their early play recruits which might pinch us this year, and you are correct that next year is a bonafide rebuilding year and I am happy that we have the harder odd year schedule coming up. I'd rather our contender years to have the even :)
