What is the worst Alabama game that you've attended in person?

I haven't attended many games but the "Peyton Manning leads the band" loss was horrible, especially considering we had several uterd fans sitting near us.

Easy. The barn's first ever trip to Bryant-Denny Stadium in 2000. Bama had played the barn in Tuscaloosa prior to that, but those games were in the late 1800's and thus prior to the existence of BDS. Anyway, what made that one a particularly bitter pill to swallow was the fact that in addition to it being a loss to them, it was in a game that I had waited on for 11 years, going back to 1989 when we had to go to JHS for the first time. We had to take all those trips every other year to play at auburn, yet when we hosted the game, it was at Legion Field instead of in T Town like it should have been. So, after years of having to venture down there, the boogs finally had to start coming to T Town. And, of course, as luck would have it, when the barn finally did come to T Town, it was in a year where we won 3 games. Sadly, under different circumstances, we could have won that day. But, I just didn't bother getting my hopes up. It was Dubose's swan song, and I knew he wasn't going to go all out or anything.

The 2000 Iron Bowl in the sleet.

Nothing will top that steaming pile of garbage.
I was at that one too. If the temperature would have dropped a few degrees it would have snowed. It seemed like it got a little warmer and then the change over to rain happened. I was so miserable and wet that day. The other one would be the loss to UCF a month earlier, that was a real disappointment.

Hmmm...tough choice. I'd 2nd either the USM 21-0 debacle (heard about that one from the locals just a bit...) or the Rohan Davey-fest. Brutal. Made worse by the fact that a good friend who's an LSU fan went w/ exiled,jr. & me. We got two tix up in the rafters; he later found a guy selling an extra. The guy turned out to be...(oh this pains me)...Van Tiffin, who sat next to my buddy during the game!

I was pretty upset about losing to Notre Dangit in the Sugar back in the day, but Coach Bryant called that the best game he ever saw. Plus, that's the only Bama game I ever go to see w/ my Dad who died before I became a student @ Bama. So although I've rooted against Notre Durn since 1966 (& still do) it didn't make the cut for "worst"...

Well, for me, it was the 1984 Homecoming game against Vandy.....we lost 30-21! I don't remember much about the game itself, but i remember that it sucked!!

1987-Alabama at Memphis State. Took/treated some of my 'Memphis' friends to the game to let them observe what Bama FB was all about. Final score...Memphis State 13, Bama 10. MSU deserved to win that game as much as Bama deserved to lose it. Bama did not play well. I ate crow over that game for years. 2nd choice...1983 IB. Bo runs for approx 270 yards, terrible Lightning storm during second half...long drive back to Mobile.
Roll Tide, Roll...A'ight!

for several years, me and a buddy of mine (lsu grad) would attend the bama-lswho game. he would get the tickets when bama was at home, and i would get the tickets when the tide played at tiger stadium. in 1986, at legion field, lsu upset bama. bama statistically dominated the game but four turnovers led to the upset. lsu fans were beside themselves, and we were sitting in their section. it was hard to take!

revenge was sweet a few years later when bama destroyed lsu at tiger stadium. he got so mad he left the stadium in the third quarter, as did thousands of other lsu "fans!"

The most frustrating game I've ever been to personally was the 2006 Duke game. Duke was on their 19 or 20 game losing streak and came in and was just dominating Alabama through the majority of the game just running the power I - they went into half-time with the lead.

Even after half-time when we were scoring and coming back it still didn't seem like we were playing Duke rather than some powerful running team that could march on us mostly at will. The crowd was as annoyed with the game as I've ever seen.

Before that game I was still mostly onboard with giving Shula another season, but that game pretty much clinched it for me.

Arkansas' 2003 come back win in double overtime was another one.

Has to be Duke 06 first time I brought all the kids to a game .. man it was terrible in the first half. It sounded jet with all the boos. Hated for the kids to see Alabama for their first time like this luckily it didn't jade their view of BDS and attending games.

2000 game against UT in Knoxville. Casey Clausen running around without a helmet just begging to get hurt....but finished the game. And IIRC, there was a very costly fumble by Brandon Minor. But I've only attended a few so this isn't nearly as bad as some of the others listed.

2007 - Monroe. My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a Bama victory for our anniversary. We want try that again.

I was at the 1988 Ole Miss game, too, but I had blocked that out...until today. Just horrible.

For being cold and miserable, the '57 Auburn game, for being hot and miserable, the Florida game in BDS the year we opened the new upper decks even though we won, but the worst loss that I ever remember was the 5 OT loss on a forth down and a half mile to go to Tennessee.
