That is whay alot of the Miami and UF guys are saying. I doubt Saban would bite and Tunsil would be no go if so if they tried it with our staff.

Nothing outstanding to be honest. Said it was alright, but he never really says anything. The only concern I had was Genron brought him and there is a pic with them 2 together at the camp.

The fact we took Leon Brown this early probably tells you the staff is not too bullish on Tunsil.
Now, let's be clear, we need short-term depth at OT and as good as Tunsil looks we don't want him in the starting rotation as a true freshman. Even so, as tight as space is getting now, it's hard to see us taking a JUCO OT eight months from NSD if we really thought a guy like Tunsil was headed our way.
Hope I'm wrong, though. I'm sure the staff will keep going hard after guys like Tunsil. We're still looking to add another true prep tackle prospect in this class.

My thinking is the same. We need immediate depth and Tunsil could provide that, but I think the staff would rather fill the need now, rather than wait on Tunsil with the possibility that he'd go elsewhere. If it wasn't a position of big need, I think we'd ask lower rated guys to be more patient to commit. I'm very happy with Brown b/c I believe Saban's eye for recruiting is spot on and every JUCO I can think of that he recruited (with one obvious and sad exception) has been a big contributor or starter.

With Cyrus K and Brown having two years left when Tunsil steps on campus, I don't see this being a drawback for the UA in possibly landing him. I still think UA is not in his top 3 though but I don't see getting a JUCO guy meaning that Tunsil is a done deal to go somewhere else.

Seems like we are in his top 2 now with UGA. Supposing UA loses at least 3 (possibly 4) lineman next year, we need a big class on the OL this year. We'll lose BJ, CW, DJF, and possibly Steen. Our other lineman are still pretty young so its not out of the possibility that a talented OL come in and earn a starting spot. Hope we land him.
Thanks for the update ,GC. It has been very quiet on the LT front compared to a lot of other recruits and commitments, for that matter.
It has been a 2 team race for a while now. Also him and D Henry have both said they would like to play together. Henry even said in the last week that Tunsil will end up at the same school as him.
Based on his earlier comments he sounded pretty gushy about UGA, but like Twin says, the kid hasn't said much in a while.
The kid hasn't said anything in a while, it looks like it will be a long time before he decides, 'Bama is about to put a lot of of linemen in the NFL, and the early playing time could be there at left tackle. Smart money is still probably on Georgia, but things look better for us than they did a couple of months back.

Absolutely not on Cyrus moving. If he can stay healthy, he'll be a three-and-out player who will be a first round draft pick. Leon Brown may move, but Cyrus won't.
The plan for Tunsil would probably be to learn behind Kouandjio for a year, and then take over at left tackle in 2014.
I love Tunsil but he seems to not want competition which is what is keeping UGA in it for his services as a LT. Bama has an absolute stud there already so unless he does leave after 2013, LT may not be all that giddy over that. Cyrus is a beast though so I would think you guys would want to do whatever to talk that kid into playing through 2014
