Have you seen the schedule?

Looks a lot like last year's. FAU for three on the road, Tulane for three at home. Travel to Lousiville. No home tournament this year. The SEC schedule is sort of odd. No aTm.

Oh, and we didn't schedule MVSU this year, so we can't lose to them again. We have a game with Alcorn instead.

And no South Alabama. That is really sad for Tide fans living in southwest Alabama.

Tweeted with Eric Sorenson yesterday on us he said that we HAD to do better this year. Kinda led me to believe it was do or die for all those associated with the program. I asked him his thoughts on how we do this year and he told me he would get back with me on it. Assuming I see his tweet on us and his prognosis I will post his opinion when available.

On a side note, hopefully I'll make it to my usual series this year with my wife and 2 boys (one will be almost 4 and the other almost 1). Should be good times!!! About a 5 hour drive so with them that small it is truly a trip.....

Wrong about Texas A&M. We DO play them. They come to Tuscaloosa for a three game series on 4/26-4/28.

I am optimistic with Wolfe and Hawley's return. Should give us plenty to choose from. Surely from those 2 plus Sullivan, Turnbull, Keller, Kamplain, and Gilbeau we'll have a nice weekend rotation set.

I just hope our anemic team BA can improve.

here we go again.
i am going to wait until at least the first game to assign blame for the season - good or bad - maybe everybody will have a .000 era and bat a thousand with a perfect fielding %. Tack on about 10 stolen bases each and maybe, just maybe the haters will be happy.

I'm optimistic, but the "haters" have every reason to be skeptical. After last season, this team and staff are going to have to make believers out of the fan base.

+1

I would like to know some people's definition of a 'hater', because not too many people would spend 8 hours in a car per game just to watch these guys if they hated them or the program. Are a lot of people upset with Gaspard and his staff? Well, just ask the 4,000 empty seats in 'the Joe' when we play SEC games whether THEY are haters or not, because I sure wouldn't term the couple thousand who DO show up that way, even if they do get a little upset with losing baseball from time to time.

The problem is that after last year, none of us who love the program are going to feel good about the program until we start winning again. And, that is not going to happen for another four weeks (Hopefully, it starts then).

So if you're not satisfied with going 21-34, finishing dead last in the conference, and getting humiliated by Mississippi Valley State, that makes you a "hater"... spare me. Last season was a colossal failure in every respect, and it started at the top, with an absolutely terrible coaching performance. Coach Gaspard didn't have the guts to acknowledge his mistakes and rebuild a competent staff in the offseason, so we're stuck with what we've got. I'm hoping the players can take it upon themselves to improve and get back to winning, but I don't see how anyone could reasonably have much faith in this coaching staff after the horrific decline of 2011-2012.

Was hoping to see Bama out here but I guess it will be next year. The last time I got to see a game Catfish Hunter was pitching for the opponent.

Our freshman class was ranked #5 and White from Spain Park and Salem from Vestavia will start and be big time players. If the freshmen come through and our pitching is as solid as we think it will be this could be a turnaround year.
