Toddler mauled to death after going through doggie door

ELLABELL —

A toddler who slipped outside through a doggie door was mauled to death by her family’s seven dogs in the backyard while the attack went unnoticed by the child’s mother and other relatives inside their home, a southeast Georgia sheriff said Thursday.

Bryan County Sheriff Clyde Smith said the child’s grandmother told investigators she was lying in bed when she heard the pit bulls and pit bull mixes barking, and she looked outside her window to see them dragging the girl. Smith said she began yelling, “They’re killing Monica!”

I have a lot of friends who love dogs and swear pitbulls are sweet loving animals. I keep telling them that may be so, but I have never heard of a lab mauling a kid to death. The animals are inherently dangerous and I won't allow my kids, midget trannies, nor tfns peeps to be around one. Chows are the same way in my book. I won't pet them and I don't want to be near them.

Pit bulls are widely used term any time a bull terrier type dog attacks someone. Was there any breed testing done to identify it as a full bred American Pit Bull Terrier? Or maybe it was a mut with bull terrier features that the media called a pit bull because that what gets attention.

Impossible to argue against the data, yet the pit bull owners will continue to tell you how gentle and loving their dogs are...

http://www.dogsbite.org/pdf/8-year-dog-bite-fatality-chart-dogsbiteorg.pdf

Dog ownership by breed in the US (2013):
1 Labrador Retrievers
2 German Shepherds
3 Golden Retrievers
4 Beagles
5 Bulldogs
6 Yorkshire Terriers
7 Boxers
8 Poodles
9 Rottweilers
10 Dachshunds

Guess silly us will just have to go off of personal experience instead of still unproven data. I will restate, until I see tests showing these dogs being pit bulls and not just some reporter saying it, I stand skeptical.

Bites ≠ deaths. At least not in my world. An aggressive Chihuahua is a pest, and aggressive pit is often deadly.

The reality is there's plenty of information regarding deaths by pit bulls - but continue to deny and defend. Your opinions don't change the facts.
Facts would be proof of the breed and not hearsay. You continue to believe the media spin. I will look to the PURE BRED pit bulls I have been around my whole life.

No media spin, Airborne Tider. In the original post link, the sheriff told how grandma described pit bulls and pit bull mixes.

Bull terriers are aggressive when mixed. Pit bull hybrids can be very dangerous in the wrong hands. Some people would rather just kill them all but never actually read what the acceptable temperament of the breed is. All I want is the truth. Any dog, regardless of breed, if aggressive towards humans should be put down. But how about lets not punish the entire breed?

Autopsy results in toddler pit bull attack death expected Monday

ELLABELL, GA (WTOC)-

On Monday, Bryan County's Sheriff will meet with the District Attorney to discuss if charges, and what kind, will be filed involving the deadly pit bull attack which killed an Ellabell toddler.

Autopsy results are expected back the same day. Wednesday evening, seven family pit bulls attacked, mauled and killed 21 month old Monica Laminack in the backyard of her Elm Drive home.

Many in the community, even deputies themselves, asking where the adults were while the attack was taking place, and how long did it really last?

The short answer from Sheriff Clyde Smith on where the adults in the home were? Napping.

Hang on a sec while I grab some links about the ferocious, aggressive Chihuahua's murderous attacks.

OK, maybe don't hold your breath...

Pit Bulls have been bred over the years for their aggressiveness and their ability to turn that aggressiveness into serious results. They are not the best choices for house pets especially around children.

Parents napping. Unsupervised child. Aggressive breed. Fatal mix.

Most breeds are like kids. Raise them right and they will be great pets including pit bulls.

Look for the ones about loyal pit bulls that never attack humans. Bet you won't find those either. No one wants to read that.
