Yup..Annie has been the best dog I've ever had..Does your Boxer freak out when storms come up..Mine absolutely hates it when she hears thunder..She'll start shaking really bad..Makes me feel bad for her..
All of them did/do. My two I had as kids would come inside during storms and position themselves between the coffee table and couch and lay there were their ears laid back. The pup we have now, he starts jumping at the back door and bolts for his crate.

I had a Husky like that. She would paw at the door if she heard thunder and if you opened the door she shot right inside ran up the stairs and to my room.

We don't currently have a dog, but I've had them in the past that reacted that way. We do have a couple of cats, one indoor and one mostly outdoor. The indoor is a 22 lb Maine Coon. The other is probably 7-8 lbs. Yesterday, with the thunder, Kookie shot out to his safe place, hiding behind my roll-around tool chest. The little one just yawned and curled up in her bed. Hard to predict animal behavior...

Pit bull owner charged with murder for California mauling death

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/cri...er-california-mauling-death-article-1.1359513
I'm not aware of a criminal case in Alabama (not my area), but given the civil cases, one of which I cited above and which contains cites to prior cases, I can certainly see criminal action being brought in Alabama, regardless of whether the dog has exhibited prior vicious tendencies. I'll be going over to Germany to visit my daughter and grandchildren, and, since I was there last, she's acquired a Great Dane, to go along with the four kids. I talked to my ex yesterday, who's just returned, and she assures me that, of the 160 lb weight, 20 lbs consists of slobber... :)

Rescued Pit Bull Saves 4-year Old's Life

Pit bulls often get an unfair rap for being aggressive, attack dogs. But that's not what Christi Smith, a stay-at-home mother from Minnesota, sees when she looks at her 10-month-old pit bull Tatortot. Smith rescued the dog from euthanasia last week, and soon after, he returned the favor by rescuing her son Peyton, 4, from near-death when the boy's blood sugar dropped to dangerous levels.
