His SEC record very similar to CMG for the past 4 years.

2010-2013 CJP 60-60
2010-2013 CMG 52-67

Barn was last in a regional in 2010. Interesting to see how serious they
are about fielding a winning baseball program.

Yes, but think of all the moral victories we have, by forcing some of the top SEC teams to so many extra inning games. On the road even! Hey, that has to count for something.

(The coughing sound you hear could either be sarcasm, or someone being sick again. Or both.)
(Probably.)

Not sure why you had to include our coach and took a shot at him when the Barn fired their coach. We are in the NCAA tourney and many of our opponents are complimenting how we are playing. I think your negativity toward CMG needs to cease since we are playing good baseball and TBH, I'm a little tired of all the negativity and second guessing being done on the baseball board.

Hey, if you don't like the facts, that's your problem. And if you don't like my posts you can block them or ignore them.
I support ALL the players.
Hoping somehow they can find some offense in Tallahassee.

You are a great example of a team player thinking that way :rolleye2: CMG led us to a super regional two years ago and we are now in the tourney this year with a young team. I don't mind your posts but when almost every one of them is negative about CMG who just led us to the NCAA tourney then I am going to say something. Lets get totally behind our team and get to a super regional. RTR!!!

That first year he inherited a team loaded with talent, and though they woke up and came close to making it to Omaha, they more or less sleep-walked through the season, and you could argue that without Nathan Kilcrease stepping up the way he did we would not have made it to Hoover that year.

The next year (2011) was the beginning of the downward slide, and even though we made a regional final, FSU was so much better than us it wasn't even funny.

Last year was a nightmare, with the only positives being that our young arms got some experience, and the chance to see Doogie play one more year.

This year has been a positive step forward from top to bottom, and though we are still a long way from 2010 talent-wise, it's better, and I have hope that we are advancing the program.

Personally I thought that the Aubs deserved a spot in the tournament and that firing their coach was not the best move. Hiring Casey Dunn? Go ahead. It will be very interesting to see what happens if they do that.

Food for thought: what if we had been scheduled to play at South Carolina rather than Georgia this year?

We probably would have been swept, especially that early in the year. Still, we have played better late in the year regardless of competition. Like the Aubs, three losses instead of three wins would have kept us out of a regional.

It would have been tough to have missed this regional, even with some obvious improvement in our play. But by comparison's sake, this program couldn't go much lower than last year.

Hey while we "what if'n" how bout this -

what if the team bats 1.000 the rest of the way and win all the games Omaha included.
that would be fun and a lot easier than swapping a series that has already been played. Lets just enjoy where the team is at. I understand that some don't like the coaches, y'all probably understand that I don't like people that don't like the coaches, especially during the season. If you don't like who ua hired then cheer for someone else - oops, that is what some of you seem to be doing. RTR

Here we go again. The point was that an entire season can hinge on one series. One series was the difference in Auburn getting left out of the postseason, and ultimately cost Pawlowski his job. As per usual, our resident genius bench goes off on another rant. We know you love the coaches - you've told us about a thousand times. If someone posted "the sky is blue", you'd immediately respond by reprimanding them for not "supporting the Tide" and reminding everyone that you "stand behind the coaches." If you happen to dislike a post, have you ever considered ignoring it? Wait, I forgot. All posts are required to meet your approval, and no one is allowed to state anything that might be construed as contrary to your own opinion. My mistake.

One series was not necessarily the difference. What if the tigers had won one more game in each of 4 or 5 series. The genius only comes out when stupid make believe post hit the screen. The tigers fired their coach AFTER the season was over, based on what the AD decided, not on what's might have happened if. Sorry, to your dismay but I do support everyone in the program. If the AD brings in a new crop I will support them. However I think your dreams of a firing ain't coming true. Your best bet is somebody leaves on his own.
In case you forgot - Roll Tide Roll

Once again, you completely fail to miss the point, and draw a bunch of inane conclusions. Good grief, it's just speculation for purposes of conversation on a slow day - if Auburn had finished 15-15 instead of 13-17 and made the Tournament, is it possible that Pawlowski might still be on the job? That somehow offends you enough to prompt another rant? Seriously, where do you come up with this crap? This is like arguing with a child.

I have attended over 400 Alabama baseball games, am a season ticket holder, a member of the Grand Slammers, and have driven thousands of miles to watch this team play over the years, so spare me your garbage about not supporting the program.

If TideFans had existed in 1956 would we be getting blasted for not supporting Ears Whitworth?

Glad you are supporting the program by attending so many games and being a season ticket holder but if your negative mentality at the games is the same as this board we don't need you to attend any more games. This is the most negative board I have ever seen. I would think the administration, coaches, players, parents, etc would see it this way also.

In other words, if you don't think Mitch Gaspard is the greatest coach in the history of baseball, you have a "negative mentality"...

It's a free fan message board. You are taking it (and yourself) way too seriously. If you don't like the board, just go away. It's really quite simple.

I don't think he is the greatest coach in the history of baseball, but the second guessing, arm chair coaching I see on this board is amazing. I guess we have several Bobby Cox/Joe Torre wannabe's who don't know 1/2 of what CMG knows about baseball thinking they could be a better coach (when to pull pitchers and how to teach hitters to hit, etc).

I think it is you that is taking it way too seriously. I love Alabama and when I see something or someone tearing it down I'm going to say something and I'm not going away anytime soon.
