Johnny Manziel investigated by NCAA (will miss first half vs Rice)

Re: Johnny Manziel investigated by NCAA

Even if there was an implied quid pro quo, if they cannot prove he was given money then it won't amount to anything. I'm no expert on NCAA rules (ok I am - they make it up as they go), but the point being made all over the net is that if you cannot prove he got money it's pretty meaningless.

Any predictions on how soon JM tests positive for synthetic MJ?

Don't have to prove he got crap, they just need to believe he did. If NCAA had to show physical proof, we never get nailed in 2001.

Re: Johnny Manziel investigated by NCAA

If he is ruled ineligible, isnt the penalty in these cases usually donate $$$ to charity and be re-instated after a 1 game penalty? Is there a slide scale of games vs $$$$?
Only if total is under 100 dollars if over it becomes a problem thi was supposedly a 5 figure deal

Re: Johnny Manziel investigated by NCAA

I don't think this goes anywhere but, he can practice all he wants, even if he was declared ineligible by aTm. So Jason Cook's comment is as valuable as BHO is President of the USA.

From what I understand, A&M was ready to cut bait and move on to another QB if the A.D. thought there was a chance that he violated an NCAA rule.

But those are old rules. Used to they didn't have to prove diddly. But they've so over-stepped their bounds they couldn't put Miami away if there'd been a videotaped murder.

Re: Johnny Manziel investigated by NCAA

If that report is true and stuff is turning up numbered and in sequence, it will be pretty hard to toss it off as JF just doing a few friends a few favors. That's IF the signatures are properly authenticated. It falls under the category of business in that case and it's kinda hard to play dumb if you've sat down and signed hundreds or thousands of something in an assembly line fashion.

I want him to play myself, I don't want to hear anymore of "Oh if only Colt had played."

I think the 2013 Tide is gonna be pretty special and I don't want there to be any doubts about that.

Unlike TommyMac I would relish hearing the rest of Texas bemoan a loss
because JFF wasn't eligible to play.
It's not like he didn't do it to himself...
No more non-acceptable excuses like why he missed the last day of the Manning Camp.
No more TAMU having different rules for JFF... ect...
It appears the train wreck may have already happened at TAMU.

JUST CALL MY POST A CASE OF JFF FATIGUE...

In related news, according to @DannySheridan1, Alabama-Texas A&M has been taken off the board at the Las Vegas Hilton. The line evidently had moved too dramatically in Bama's direction.

Re: Johnny Manziel investigated by NCAA

It's ok guys, he's just a 20 year old college kid.

I'm starting to despise Manziel almost as much as Cam. If sCam can get away with taking 6 figures to play, Manziel will have no problem getting away with only a 5 figure sum for a few autographs. My 3 year old son has a toy hammer that comes down harder then the NCAA.

Re: Johnny Manziel investigated by NCAA

Okay so he's not fat, but it's starting to look like he's got drunk and stupid covered. 1600 pieces..wow

Re: Johnny Manziel investigated by NCAA

ESPN has apparently released this news in coloring book format because now they're talking about it on ITAT. Those who see a conspiracy on Texags lean toward U Texas being behind it. On ITAT, almost 100% of the mentally challenged members see a conspiracy and it's......Bama!

Re: Johnny Manziel investigated by NCAA

I find it ironic that the "Home of the 12th Man" is also home to arguably the most selfish player in college football...

So pretty much the entire board then.

OMG!!!

I went to ITAT and I'm trying to follow this. At least in cases involving them, there is minimal "logic" to the argument. In this case - somehow - we are responsible for this JF thing. I'm in just shock at how the obsession continues with us. T-Town menswear gets brought up. And somehow WE are to blame for Cam even though it was MSU who turned in the finding.

I mean really - you are talking a level of insanity and brainwashing that the Nazis could not have pulled off.

I guess we created the BCS Computers too, I guess we started WW2 was well.

Re: Johnny Manziel investigated by NCAA

My bro-in-law was at the Baybears game that AJ was honored earlier this year. When he asked to get an autograph, he was told that since it was an advertised event that AJ would be attending he would not be doing ANY autographs due to NCAA rules. So glad that it seems that our players get it.

When I lived in Knoxville, Peyton Manning spoke at my church at our weekly Wednesday night dinner. He signed autographs afterward, but said he was not allowed to sign footballs, but said he would sign anything else.
