Wingman, I'm not referencing who pays Nate, although I'm sure he doesn't work for free.
I'm merely pointing out it that in the eyes of the NCAA, the "personal assistant" gig could be viewed as an agent working on behalf of JM, as it's been alleged that Nate is/was shopping JM signings to multiple autograph brokers going back to last season and the OTL article stated that everything goes through Finch now...
“ … an agent is any individual who, directly or indirectly, represents or attempts to represent an individual for the purpose of marketing his or her athletics ability or reputation for financial gain …â€Â
There is always the chance that Nate becomes the fall-guy and JM can say he didn't know, but I believe the NCAA has made changes and broadened the rule to since the Cam Newton fiasco.
Maybe someone else can weigh in on those changes and how that might apply here.
Having another college "kid" unschooled in NCAA matters handling your business, pr, etc as a potential future NFL'r, is a huge risk and quite frankly, is crazy, imho.
Last reference to ITAT, I swear but read this ironic statement:
Before we as Auburn fans start leading a parade for Johnny just because we hate Bama, let's remember that while both Johnny and ...... boys were cheating their butts off and skirting the rules, Auburn players were towing the line and obeying the ncaa rules.
(Don't hit your head on the table when you fall in the floor laughing).
Is it just me or is Coach Sumlin just floundering? He sounded like he was wandering around for a cogent thought. I think they were caught completely off guard on this one.

Watching Sumlin it reminds me the football program at Alabama is run by one man and his name is Nick Saban. At aTm, it isn't Kevin Sumlin. One big difference between Bama and TA&M that stands out to me. I think Coach Sumlin is a good coach but the lack of keeping his players in check is going to do him in.
I'm starting to really dislike aTm. Hiring the same lawyer a* used during the $cam fiasco tells me all I want to know about that program.
Nate may indeed become the fall guy, but this situation is very different on the surface than the Newton case -- this situation obviously required JM's participation. "Hey Nate, you sure have a lot of friends -- my hand is cramping."
So my message to Bama fans is: any time you feel like the aggies have a leg up on Bama, be patient, they will soon loose their balance standing on one leg, and wind up on their butt.
NCAA has no subpoena powers. Shut up, lawyer up and you can get away with anything. Only those who cooperate get punished.
I don't blame them one iota, as a matter of fact, if I was A&M's AD, as soon as I was told of the situation..That firm would've been my 1st phone call, as of matter of fact, they would be #1 on my speed dial..They're the best in the business at what they do..The sCam situation proved that without doubt..
