Poor girl...times like these make the whole game look horrid iMO. Even if (and she ain't imo of course) she is making this up she should be treated better to get her side told/heard not just overlooked/ignored. Makes me mad as all get out <---- see what I did there? I wanted it to be worse, but mods *smooch* ;)

I agree. I keep hearing from people who claim that there are FB pictures that prove she knew him before that night. But, no one actually seems to have the pictures anywhere. It knid of seems to me that these supposed photos are reaching urban legend status.

Willie Meggs: Lot of concern about length of time, but hasn't been driven by football schedule.

Asked if this is vindication for Jameis, Meggs said he will let us read the report and determine that for ourselves
Meggs says "others will have to decide" if TPD mishandled the case
Meggs said prosecutors didn't charge because they didn't think they could get a conviction.
There was DNA from two males - one was unknown. Meggs said identifying him was reason it took as long as it did
Meggs: "I think y'all were agonizing more than I was."
Willie Meggs says there was no evidence of drugs in accuser's blood and an alcohol level that was not that high
Was there sex with more than one male? Meggs: That would be a logical conclusion.
Willie Meggs says TPD didn't brush aside the situation but that it would have been better to handle it earlier; but won't investigate TPD
Meggs: We came to decision there wasn't a case to bring forward. No reasonable likelihood of a conviction

He is just telling everyone to read the reports - ducking every qustion - only said that he did not believe that they could win the case.

Did anybody really expect anything else? The timing of this press conference is not coincidental, four days before the Heisman voting is due. I'm not making any judgement about whether Mr. Winston is guilty or innocent because none of us knows but it is silly to not see this coming.

Her BAC was .04 (not drunk) and no other drugs found in the tests

So, he raped her but DA didn't think they could win. That's not his place to decide, if there is probable cause, you charge and let a jury decide. Basiclly, FSU or FSU boosters threw enough money at this problem to make it go away. That's what I believe.

He is now saying that the second set of DNA found was key because she only complained of being assaulted by one person.

Not knowing the evidence they see of course, & playing devil's advocate - but does this mean that a Floridian woman who has sex with one man cannot be raped by another because its too confusing?

Are we really to believe that the timing of the announcement of no charges has nothing to do with the Hesiman Vote and the ACC championship? Please!

Who says that her attorney is not smearing Jameis? You are assuming her attorney is honest and wouldn't slant the story in her favor.

He admits that the victim did not know Winston before the "sex". Sorry, that seals it for me. She was raped and they are not going to prosecute because she slept with someone else that night. That is horrible and disgusting.
