I was totally expecting them to throw in a few Stormtroopers and be like "Look, it's Star Wars! Give us money."

But the trailer is encouraging. It looks like it could be a really good story.

I'd like to see Disney remake the prequels but not with the same exact characters and plot lines of course.
The prequels left such a bad taste in the mouths of most fans that I doubt they'd have much success. Regardless of how good the remakes were.

Thanks Catfish......very exciting!

Just got an email this morning from Amazon that my DVD of The Force Awakens will be delivered on Friday.

Not that I'm a big fan or anything.....

Little Catfish is a huge fan has started appropriating lines from the movies for everyday life. Dinner isn't ready yet? Darth Vader voice- "I find your lack of dinner most disturbing." I couldn't be more proud. :biggrin2:

Bought my "copy" on Amazon Instant Video this past Friday. We watched it twice over the weekend. I'm ashamed to say I didn't see it when it was in theaters (even though my boys did).

Just wait until he says, "Those aren't the grades you're looking for."

I enjoyed them for what they were even though there were elements of the storyline that I didn't like, particularly the introduction of midi-chlorians. I actually went to the theater twice to see The Phantom Menace.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

Was so excited to see it that I attempted to will myself to enjoy it. I tried to repress the fact that there was something terribly, terribly wrong deep within my 13 year old psyche.

Don't feel bad 86 - I didn't see it in the theater either.

Got my Amazon packet in the mail today with the DVD. 3 discs....1 is Blue Ray, 1 DVD, and the other is the bonus disc.

I don't have a Blue Ray player so that's something I will have to look into at some point.

I also got a code to view the movie online but not sure what the benefit is of that since I now have the DVD.

Oh - Amazon dropped the final sales price by 3 cents so they credited it back to me on my Discover Card. :biggrin2:

I might not bother at this point. All digital is going to be the thing here soon.

Funny thing is that they're so much cheaper than what they were when the first came out. I worked part time at Sears when the first Blu-Ray player hit the market. $1,500. Now you can get one for the price of a decent DVD player.

Yeah Dub...I haven't even priced one - yet.

I have a fairly nice DVD collection but I think this is my first BR disc. Supposed to be far superior to DVD. We'll see.....

My only issue with this is that it basically says all the Dark Forces storylines are not canon anymore. The dark forces story has a substantial following, but I guess it's a new generation.
