Only would UcheaT try to do something like this, its a novelty idea. I have been to the races at Bristol , its a lot easier to see a 3500lb car going around the track that a 200lb football player. Folks better take a radio and thier Ipad and hope the wifi works. If you want to spend 150 bucks a ticket and go party and be part of an event then enjoy.

Bristol is a half mile track and visibility will be an issue. A football field will fit inside a quarter mile running track so a half mile car race track will pit fans far from the action.

Talladega is 2.66 miles. No way that would work unless you put in a lot of temp seats in the infield. It would be a disaster.

It's feasible at Bristol, impossible at a track the size of Taledaga. You'd basically have to build half a stadium to make it work.

This is as stupid as having a wrassling match on the back of an 18-wheeler and you win by sounding the horn on the truck in motion simply because good ole boys like wrassling and trucks.

Don't laugh, it actually happened (WCW Uncensored 1995). I'm NOT kidding.

A dumb, dumb, dumb idea - and proof how low the Viles have sunk nationally that they have to resort to this stunt. I don't think for a second that Tech would cause us to fill in Talladega, either. Jawja maybe but not Tech.

The only reason UT is playing at Bristol is to break the ncaa record for attendence. The problem with having it at a race track is that you will be so far away from the field since the infield is where the field will be. I think if you are going for another sport stadium then you might as well consider an international soccer stadium or a historic baseball field. But with the later there have been problems. Just look at Yankee stadium hosting football games.

The 'best' seat at Bristol is going to be AWFUL - Neyland fits in the infield.

The only reason to do this is because it's something different - it would suck to actually have to watch your team play there...

Yeah this is just a lame stunt worthy of Harbaugh. With no monster video boards to watch they'll need to pass out binoculars at the gates.

Growing up in western VA, this is a dream come true for the football fans in that area which is 45% Tennessee, 45% VT, 10% WVU. I'd love to see this if it wasn't those teams. They also have a jumbo tron the size of the stadium.

The only decent seats are going to be lower straightaways and lower turns 1 & 2. The entire end at turns 3 & 4 are gonna be ridiculous. That end of the infield has several buildings on it, and the field had to be offset towards 1 & 2. There is a live construction cam online.
