Anyone notice the glare Dabol sent CNS's way after his tirade?

Dabol is our OC and I support him, but it was apparent that Saban was fed up with poor performance from certain aspects of our Offensive group. One of which was the OL. Not trying to fire up a 'Get rid of Dabol' thread, but check out the expression. We can't be surprised if Dabol goes back to the NFL next season. I don't have the impression that he dislikes what he has experienced at Bama, but I am not sure all this has worked out as he had hoped. What say you guys?

Nobody likes getting chewed out on the sideline. Of course he's likely to have a dour expression - so would I. But you know what, maybe don't try passing it with less than 5 minutes to play in the game next time. Don't be surprised when you catch flak for boneheaded decisions.

He got ripped and should have. Alabama should have run the ball to at least milk the clock. Hopefully he dosen't pull a stunt like that against Georgia. We controlled the game last night and didn't need to be fancy.

Come on - it was a glare. Daboll has an ego, too. No one likes to be chewed out in front of other people. But, as has been suggested upthread, he is used to it. He certainly isn't going to quit over it.

I wish everyone would get off Daboll. This is his first year as Offensive Coordinator and the numbers looks better or comparable to last year. I do feel that he has lacked sometime in play calling, but I see that getting better as he gets more experience.

We did to Clemson what Mississippi State did to us. We had been milking the clock most of the game. Then for some bizarre reason with 6 minutes left and the ball, Dabol decided to pass. I think coach was upset that we were not letting the clock run. Dabol got greedy and wanted more points. Jalen had all night to throw on both, but no one was open. I couldn’t tell if it was that “good coverage” (aka known as the Clemson DBs grabbing our receivers and hanging on for dear life).

Well the thread topic was really started about the interaction between Saban and Daboll, I don't think Saban would have ripped into him if he felt everything was fine. I also don't think there was any concern about position groups, I think this was strictly about play selection

Saban had a great comment on this in his presser, that he was acting "like a fan". If the play worked, it would be been a great call, but it didnt, so it was a bad call. I felt it was bad at the time, shouting at the tv that they ran the same play twice with the same loss of yards and no time off the clock. I would have shouted at Daboll also. Two failed run plays would have netted no yards and a minute off the clock - which is a good outcome at that moment in the game.

I didn't see it that way either. And I don't think it was frustration with any particular group as much as it was the play calls in that particular moment.
I had some issues with play calls at that moment, too. Some of the calls just don't seem to make sense, but I've never coached football, so I know I don't know more than they do about the game. There are times, though, when common sense should apply.

I never said Dabol might quit. I suggested that his expression said that he felt he was doing his job. It looked like a 'I am trying to win the game' look. Never worked for Saban but I have been eaten alive when I felt I was doing my best already. So I don't get some of these posts. Just asking if anyone noticed his following eyes on Saban. Sorry I used the term 'glare' BUT it was NOT a glance. Sometimes...I do that and I am actually thinking about something but watching someone at the same time.

I think Dabol's beard keeps the glare from being as effective as it might be. It also emphasizes his short statue, I think he should shave it.
