Some where out there
Like has been mentioned, it looks like the article has been edited without the "bizarre" quote.
In the version up right it also states that this is taken from a series of previous interviews.
Mr Fromm didn't just decide today to have a chat with the author.
I don't think we assume he had a conversation today, all we know is when the article with the text quoted was published

“Nick Saban wants it to be about Alabama and Coach Saban,” Emerson Fromm said. “He doesn’t want you to really deal with the coordinators, even though [former offensive coordinator Lane] Kiffin was the recruiter. As soon as Kiffin kind of put his blessing on Jake, we didn’t talk to Kiffin a whole lot. It was to the point where sometimes you’d might be in the indoor and see Kiffin, and he might go the other way. I’m serious. It’s just bizarre. We got kind of close with Kirby because we didn’t have anybody to talk to. Kirby is from Georgia, and it’s just easy to relate. That’s why he’s blowing everybody up on the recruiting end because he’s just a very personable person.”
“[Kirby] made it very easy when he left Alabama. It’s just like a no-brainer.”
By recruiting time, Lane Kiffin was already on the outs, and on his way out of the door.
I want bad mouth Kirby's recruiting... He was taught by the best. ;)

This article is the very reason some people buy Fords, and others buy Chevy's.

Tell the team.... The Fromms and UGA called your coach bizarre. They are disrespecting Coach. Tony Brown did you hear that? They disrespected Coach!

Dear Jake Fromm's Dad.... okkkkaaayyyy (?)

Maybe Kirby was able to speak slowly and in one syllable words and that is why he was able to relate to you?

Most families would be honored if the HC (no matter who he is) was the one that recruited them ... but especially so if it is one of the greatest college coaches ever. Our OCs & DCs have a reputation for getting HC jobs elsewhere so the consistent one is Coach Saban.

I understand wanting a closer relationship with the OC, but does that mean you wish you were at FAU now?

Fromm's Daddy's whole point makes no sense in the grand scheme of how recruiting is done at the top levels.

Obviously his kid is a great QB. Maybe we realized he was going to UGA after Kirby was hired and since UGA folks "can relate easily".

JMHO

Also, kind of hard to respect a site that changes its story after it has been posted. To read the article now almost gives the opposite impression of the quote that began this thread. Having the original link now redirect to the updated story about "respect" is what is bizaare. SECCountry/DawgNation makes no mention of the revision.

This is just my opinion, was Tua already committed to Alabama when Fromm committed or did Fromm commit to Alabama first? If Fromm committed first was Tua still being recruited and did the Fromms know this. Is it possible he flipped to UGA because Mr. Fromm did not want his son to have to compete with Tua? If Alabama was still recruiting Tua, then Fromm made the right decision to flip to UGA. Another question, if Eason does not get hurt does Fromm see the field or is he redshirted? Eason will be gone, but Fields hits campus, will Fromm hold off Fields? Lots of decisions for Smart to make.

Fromm already flipped to UGA on March 3, 2016. Tua committed to Alabama May 2, 2016.

Nope, not buying this. Did we even offer Fromm? From what I remember he didn't even visit. But I may be forgetting.

Boy, I'd be ticked if my dad was talking trash about Saban / Alabama the week before I had to play against their defense. Not ideal to say the least lol

If daddy Fromm thinks Saban's recruiting style is bizarre, he must not be familiar with Jim Harbaugh's closing technique.

This falls under the TIFWIW category. Legend on Finebaum tweeted that Kirby took a picture of our recruiting board and used it against us. He was showing kids where they were on our board. I have always heard there is a gentleman's agreement that a kid committed to the school you were leaving was off limits to coaches who had taken a job at another institution. Apparently Kirby didn't think so se he recruited kids to Georgia whom he had been recruiting for Bama just the week before he took the job. Kirby has a good bit of talent this year, but I heard they have 31 seniors so next year may not be so hot for the Dawgs. Maybe a one hit wonder.

If Kirby did this, it all works its way out sooner or later. I fully believe it is cutthroat on the recruiting trail.

If Fromm had signed with us, would he see playing time Monday night?

I'll take a page from one of his players after the OU game, " Humble yourself ( Kirby) ".
