LSU is now a 5-7 team instead of a 4-8. They got a statue for a qb, and an overall offense that is going to get destroyed by SEC defenses.

Don’t think their record will be that bad but I agree with your basic premise—their physical run game will hit a brick wall starting in two weeks at JHS.

I was for Miami in this game....oh well. The SEC West is going to be a monster again this year.

LSU is good—they have talent all over the field. But they will not beat the barn, Georgia, or us.
They always have talent, but hard to tell how good they are as a whole based on tonight. Miami couldn't cover a sleeping baby with a blanket and my 88 year old grandmother tackles better than some of them have tonight.

In the bold prediction thread, I picked LSU and aTm to compete for the SEC West title this season (along with Bama of course).

LSU because of Burrow and aTm because of Jimbo.

Long ways to go, hence the "bold" prediction....

Diaz has put the Canes D in some ridiculous situations with some of his biltz calls tonight. That long TD rum up the middle was a result of some goofy biltz he ran off the left edge. That also could have confusion by the corner and safety not knowing who should go and who should drop back.

He's in the same bucket as Grantham to me: idiot blitzer who the media act like is a genius for some unknown reason.

You've got to figure that Miami has, barring turnovers by LSU, five or six possessions left if they're lucky. That means that, at most, they can have two more drives not end in a touchdown if they hold LSU to no more than a field goal for the rest of the game.

Bottom line: one TD all but wins it for LSU.

The only thing that worries me about LSU is our OC losing his head like they have done since 08 when we go down there. We should win by 2-3 scores.

Stick a fork in Miami. Maybe for the season. I don't know if they can recover from this. They've got a shot at 9 or 10 wins, playing in the ACC, but they won't be playing for the championship.
