I heard Saban say that Georgia should be in that they were one of the four best teams.

Kirk Herbstreit just said he thinks Georgia moves UP to 3 even with the loss and ND goes to 4. People around the country will have an aneurysm if that happens.
He must have seen my post yesterday. :biggrin2:

Re: Unlikely Hypothetical -- Playoff

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Georgia
4. Notre Dame

Notre Dame should get no better than a 4 seed in any case. TCU was dropped from #3 to #6 because they did not play a CG in 2014. After beating Iowa State 55-3! ND is not even playing an Iowa State.

No doubt they are one of the 4 best teams, and no I'd hate to have to play them again, but they better be careful. We came into this game unprepared. That will not happen a second time.

Kirby and Georgia is the gift that keeps on giving. Just because you come close and can’t close the deal doesn’t make you one of the four best teams. I get the relationship between Coach and Kirby and understand he is saying things that might help GA however if they start letting two loss non champions in to the playoffs lMO they would be better to go to an eight team playoff.
In my mind this year my top four would be:

1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. Oklahoma
4. Ohio State
Until ND joins a conference they should not be considered in the top 4

“He don’t want to play us.”

And you don’t want to play US again, Kirby.

Think about it. Can Georgia play ANY better than they did today? No. They played to their ceiling.

And lost.

Can Bama play better than they did today? Everyone knows they can. And will.

I would. We won with no urgency whatsoever tonight, with a QB who was hurt and behind on all his throws, WRs with the dropsies, a defense who played basically without LBs...and Fromm played with the ghost of Garcia.

Don’t think for one second our HEALED team wouldn’t skunk them next time.

They are one of the 4 best teams in the country....and they lost to the best. So what's the point in seeing it happen again? That was your playoff game. You win and you advance. It was basically a playoff weekend for UGA, Oklahoma, and Ohio State. Georgia lost. They are out.

Sure, nobody else had to play Bama but it would have happened eventually.

You dont get a 3rd chance in a row to fail at the last moment. It needs to be Bama, ND, Clemson and either OU or OSU.

Fervently praying that, no matter who we play next, we get HEALED, after what we witnessed today...

I don’t want to play them again either.

It’s asking a lot to beat a team that good 2/3 times in 12 months.

They well may be the second best team in the country.

There are sound arguments against them making the playoff.

Fine by me if the my get left out.

Herbstreit just said, at the end of the Clemson game, he thinks Georgia should move up to #3. He said in his mind it doesn't matter that they didn't win the conference. He thinks they are one of the 4 best teams.

Kirby showed he can't coach his way out of a paper bag. Fromm had the hot hand today. Ride the hot hand. How hard is that? Instead, Kirby would break Fromm's rhythm by bringing in Fields who, poor kid, never got the feel of the game and produced zero. The fake punt fiasco with Field was just the last and most memorable of the stupid coaching decisions made by Kirby tonight but certainly not the only one.
