Doubt it. He’s an Auburn fan.

He coached in Gadsden when Cadillac was up there. Was on staff at Prattville with Bill Clark and took over when he went to South Alabama. Then, he went to Florence before going to Central.

Like I said, Thompson is good. Central is in another league. They don’t get the attention because of location (IIRC, they are eastern time zone).

They have several D1 prospects on the roster.

Thompson for several years was a lower tier program in the old 6A region 6. They’ve come a long way to get to this point. Hiring Spanish Fort’s coach for $100k+ per year helped. I wonder if he can sustain it post-Taulia?

No, they’re a public school in Alabaster, AL in Shelby Co. Obviously made headlines when they hired him.
