Link: Tua discusses leaving early or staying.

I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back. He said something in the video that I think will be in the decision making process of every NFL team interested in him. And that's teams have no clue if he's going to be able to play after the injury is healed. In the video he said it will be three months before he can put weight on it. Then he can transition to a walker/crutches. He's looking at February before he can even put weight on it. I don't know, I'm not in the medical field so I don't know how fast he progresses once he can put weight on it. When is the combine? Isn't the draft late April early May? He has to make the decision in January. I think him coming back is more of a possibility than some think.
And yet he was jumping up every time we scored against AU, when he was on camera. Meanwhile, I'm yelling "Get back down!!"

i feel you, a lot of the noise is based off what Lamar Jackson, Teddy Bridgwater and Kyler Murry has done this year. I wouldn't say he's near the passer that the above three are ... I think teams are hoping he's at least close enough and then pair in his ability to run the ball should make him a serviceable QB. Again, these are predictions, so in reality he may not even sniff the third round. If he does make it in the 1st or 2nd round, its a heck of a story for him.
I was thinking of Tua when I first read that (bold), and I was about to lose it . . .

Nick likes to talk about “business decisions”. I think the right “business decision” for Tua to take at this point is to enter the draft.

Ultimately I do too...…………...like Steve Miller says "Take the money and run"

The school insurance will pay for it.

I don’t know much about this, but I get a different take from the NCAA website.

How can coverage be paid for?
Subject to conference policies and procedures, schools may permit student-athletes to use the NCAA Student Assistance Fund to purchase either PTD or LOV policies. Student-athletes may also take out loans against their future earnings to pay these premiums. Please note that premiums paid using Student Assistance Funds may be considered a taxable benefit to student-athletes and may affect their eligibility for financial aid. In addition, it is recommended that a tax professional is consulted to determine any tax implications for a student-athlete on claim payment of PTD or LOV policy benefits if the coverage premium was paid using Student Assistance Funds.
Insurance underwriters are expected to be profitable. Given his current health and his injury history, I wonder if a) he is insurable and b) if so, if the premium would be cost prohibitive?

I hope whichever decision he makes works out for him because he is a great young man.

One thing to keep in mind: Coach Saban. He will definitely be the ear of several NFL teams about Tua and will be honest with Tua about what they say. If he announces he is going to the NFL, Saban has heard NFL teams are not concerned and will draft him. If he comes back, then they heard that NFL teams have genuine concerns and his stock has dropped.
