This thread is weird - LSU is clearly the better team yet so many are acting like LSU has the refs in their pocket.

OU looks like garbage so far, they're lucky they got seven.

Sure, there was a blown call on that missed PI call, but otherwise LSU is just flat-out beating OU.
There's not necessarily an inconsistency there. There's been more than one blown call...

The biggest CFP era blowout in terms of the largest number of points put up by one team was Oregon's 59-20 victory against the Noles in the 2015 Rose Bowl. So LSU has just 38 points to go.

but before that, the ref announced OU was taking timeout. Timeout was taken, then review, then not charged.
I did hear the announcers say OU was taking a time-out for a review. The only reason I can think they got the time-out back was the officials must have told him they were already looking at it.

I don’t care what anyone says, OU is not a playoff caliber team, weren’t last year either. They play in a weak league that doesn’t play defense and they get blown out when they face a real defense. At some point that has to be considered by these committees. This is also why I will always oppose an expanded playoff that includes auto qualifiers for conference champs. There are a handful of top fifteen teams that would put up a better fight than this, including both teams from this state.
